WASHINGTON (WUSA9) - A wild ride in Southeast D.C. after police said teens hurled rocks off an overpass at vehicles. ... It happened on Suitland Parkway near Stanton Road Monday afternoon.

A rock shattered a glass door of a Metro access bus filled with passengers. A yellow cab was also hit.

The chaos sparked a chain reaction crash involving several cars. ... No one was seriously hurt.

Some drivers, who regularly take this stretch of Suitland Parkway, said this isn't the first time teens have thrown rocks at vehicles. ... Police continue to investigate.

Ordinarily, I wouldn't put this in LBN, but there was another story like this one earlier today.

These idiots are not copycats. I doubt they have the slightest grasp of anything happening outside their immediate neighborhood surrounding few blocks.

It has caused several accidents along with broken windows and injuries. It's definitely a crime that needs to be stopped.

She went off the road, but did not wreck. She had a gash on her forehead, but was otherwise OK.

Except of course she is now afraid to drive in that area.
