GUILTY 45 out of 48 Counts- !!! - Jury reaches verdict in Sandusky trialLast edited Fri Jun 22, 2012, 10:20 PM USA/ET - Edit history (9)
Source: USA Today
A jury of seven women and five men deliberated for the bulk of two days before reaching a verdict Friday night. They began their work this morning at 9 a.m. by reviewing the testimony of key prosecution witness Michael McQueary, a Penn State assistant football coach, and McQueary family friend Jonathan Dranov. The two provided differing accounts of a 2001 incident in which McQueary testified that he saw Sandusky and a young boy in a university shower room engaged in what McQueary believed was sodomy. Dranov, a physician, said McQueary's account to him did not include a sexual act. 45 out of 48 GUILTY just now on MSNBC #Sandusky Guilty on 45 counts - 442 years in prison is maximum sentence possible! Hell, in Afghanistan it seems to be quite common and accepted that older men have a young boy as a lover. http://www.sfgate.com/opinion/article/Afghanistan-s-dirty-little-secret-3176762.php I think Sandusky basically believed he wasn't really doing anything wrong, and every time he was 'caught' he got away with it so his belief was reinforced. I doubt anyone ever said anything to him personally about it. So he knew that people knew (like Palermo) and he may have even thought they did it too. There's no telling what twisted thinking he had that justified his actions in his own mind, but I guarantee he did justify them to his satisfaction. |

Then McQueary was a grad asst, dependent upon Jo Pa & perhaps Sandisgusty for his degree. He took more action than anyone else at PS it seems. I'm sure he was horrified & in shock & disbelief when he witnessed that shower scene. Your mind doesn't immediately go to child sex abuse automatically. I imagine that kid's face will forever haunt him. As far as I'm concerned, he is also a victim of Sandisgusty. For those who blame him for not doing more, I say he did the most at PS, even though he could have been punished for that action.
Jo Pa was the MOST POWERFUL person on that campus & probably the entire community! He could have saved numerous other kids from this fate. He put football & his image above kids.....that is a selfish crime, too. Cancer is a disease in which the body eats itself; one has to wonder if THIS is what ate him up inside. |

They all had their priorities: the sanctity of the stupid damn fucking football program trumped everything. They're all seriously at fault, especially those who looked away - whether they were university officials and coaches, alumni, local business interests and politicians, media people and/or sponsors who refused to rock the boat because the Almighty Football Program had to be protected over all else. Lives were ruined. But Heaven forbid the accursed football program be threatened in any way. They're all criminals in my book.

this evil man raping little boys and did nothing to stop it should stand before all these victims and explain why their power and wealth was more important than stopping this pedophile - the President of Penn State knew. The pokey is well known for its tendency to mete out prison justice to child molesters, rapists, pimps, and wife beaters.
On a side note, I hope there's evidence against Mrs. Sandusky on the grounds of child endangerment. After all, she turned a blind eye to her husband's predatory ways. If I were Sandusky's wife, I would have not only divorced him, I also would have looked to get the marriage annuled. I don't want touch a child rapist with a 10 mile, much less a 10-foot pole. |

Why do Repigs get a pass on enabling pedophila??? Turns out Pennsylvania's current Repig Governor Tom Corbett was State Attorney General back when allegations of pedophilia first surfaced around Penn State U. Assistant Coach Jerry Sandusky. Why didn't Corbett do anything??? And how come Repigs keep getting a free pass on this shit? Corbett should be drummed out of office and forced to go on trial as an accessory to pedophila after the fact. WTF? Come on Pennsylvania, dig your heads out of your ass!

They better not send him to one of the country clubs. Graterford will do just fine. See how he makes out with the boys in that hell hole.
Someone tell me why this scum bothered to take this to trial. Yo rocket man you were gonna lose all along. |

63. Severe mental illness bizarre. Mentally ill people think, say, and do very strange things.

I have a good friend who has worked in emergency medical services and is a long-time sufferer of severe depression. His condition has been under control for many years with medication.
I had a conversation with him recently about another friend who committed suicide earlier this year. She had Borderline Personality Disorder. I was trying to understand her behavior in a rational manner. My paramedic friend said "Just stop right there. Mentally ill people do weird shit because they are fucking mentally ill." |

Unfortunately, nobody took the trouble to stop him before he ruined the childhoods of so many children.
I hope that more people are charged/convicted because they covered for Sandusky. |
