Romney’s Bain Capital invested in companies that moved jobs overseas

Source: Washington Post

..........................

During the nearly 15 years that Romney was actively involved in running Bain, a private equity firm that he founded, it owned companies that were pioneers in the practice of shipping work from the United States to overseas call centers and factories making computer components, according to filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Jobless states: The top 10: Unemployment rose in 18 states in May, as well as nationally. Fewer jobs were created than in any other month of the past year. Here’s a look at the top 10 states with the highest unemployment rates.

While economists debate whether the massive outsourcing of American jobs over the last generation was inevitable, Romney in recent months has lamented the toll it’s taken on the U.S. economy. He has repeatedly pledged he would protect American employment by getting tough on China.

“They’ve been able to put American businesses out of business and kill American jobs,” he told workers at a Toledo fence factory in February. “If I’m president of the United States, that’s going to end.”

1. Under Romney, Self-Deportation will apply only to American jobs.

2. This sort of thing should resonate with 99% of the voters.

The catch is, however, the media stooges will just gloss over it, if they give it any coverage at all.

3. When will the MSM focus upon Rmoney's support for another pending so-called "free trade" agreement?

Trans-Pacific negotiations have been taking place throughout the Obama presidency. The deal is strongly supported by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the top lobbying group for American corporations. Obama's Republican opponent in the 2012 presidential elections, Mitt Romney, has urged the U.S. to finalize the deal as soon as possible.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/06/13/obama-trade-document-leak_n_1592593.html

The pending wage-lowering, let's-send-more-jobs-to-foreign-countries "free-trade" agreement, like NAFTA and the other "free-trade" agreements signed since that time, will benefit the Wall Street crowd and the wealthy donors to Rmoney's campaign. It will benefit the greedy super-rich who support politicians like Rmoney.

The pending "free-trade" agreement, when signed, will benefit his wealthy donors. But it will cause further harm to the American working class. It is a pending disaster. The NAFTA of the Pacific.

Notwithstanding Rmoney's campaign statement in Toledo, what better way is there to "put American businesses out of business and kill American jobs"?

4. Many years ago my brother worked for a company called Mormons - do not know if it was owned

by the church but when he had to go to a seminar out in Utah I assumed there was a connection. The "education" he came back with was about a new way of life in the furture (this was the 50s). America was not going to make things anymore - we were going to be the food source for the world and we were going to have jobs based on itellectual ideas and education. Should I be surprised that this idea came out of Utah that far back?

Was there even a pension fund at the time that didn't invest in those same companies?

6. Mitt is not a nice guy.

"During the nearly 15 years that Romney was actively involved in running Bain, a private equity firm that he founded, it owned companies that were pioneers in the practice of shipping work from the United States to overseas call centers and factories making computer components, according to filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission."

7. let's recall he also helped richies evade taxes with his offshore investment business in the Caymans

& Bermuda. That should resonate with voters, if only the MSM will give us more of the story. LA Times covered it during Tax Haven Mitt's first run for the presidency.

9. The media has been MIA on Mitt like they were about W's history.

By that I mean how much have you heard about Romney's dressing up as a
state cop and pulling people over in traffic? That story went down the memory
hole PDQ.

15. A few more TV ads on this would be good

and on the internet. GOP has control of the media but fortunately not ads or the internet yet.

10. Romney getting tough on China....

I admit I don't understand the complex economic relationships behind trade with China.

But, I will say that it's not China's doing, that U.S. corporations are seeking cheap labor overseas.

And, it certainly is not their fault when American workers create great companies, and after they become efficient and successful, profiteers then sell them to overseas conglomerates.
