NRA breaks its silence and blames ‘Obama administration’s political correctness’ for Orlando shootin

Source: RawStory

Almost two days after a 29-year-old man killed 49 people and wounded over 50 more using a high-powered AR-15 and handgun in an Orlando nightclub, the NRA has broken its silence on the tragedy that shocked the nation.

Using USA Today as a pulpit, former congressman and current executive director of the National Rifle Association Institute for Legislative Action Chris Cox unsurprisingly laid the blame for the shooting on the Obama administration.

After briefly condemning that attack, Cox turned to condemning what he called “political correctness” that he believes allowed former security contractor Omar Mateen to open fire on a crowded nightclub dance floor.

According to the NRA, lawmakers who want to put in place more effective gun control laws are “desperate to create the illusion that they’re doing something to protect us.”

Following that tortured logic, we should have no laws at all, because criminals don't care if there is a law or not.

Fuck the NRA. Fuck their Congressional flunkies! Fuck their governors and state houses in their back pockets and fuck anyone who is a part of that organization of, as George Carlin called them, "dickless lunatics."

I am so tired of the GOP faces popping up on television offering their "prayers".

That and 50 cents will get me a cup of coffee from a vending machine.

DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS MADNESS ALREADY!

I am losing faith in many of my fellow men and women in this country. I know some of these people and it's gotten to the point where I used to like them but want nothing to do with them now. This gun loving culture is sickening.

They will never give up their guns or even talk about common sense restrictions.

The NRA is a radical organization and it has radicalized them on the issue of gun control. No one is coming for their guns. But we can't even discuss--DISCUSS--common sense solutions. They are working to make it a taboo subject.

Disgusting.

16. What the FBI did because this guy talked some trash at work
Mon Jun 13, 2016, 10:47 PM
Jun 2016
He came to the F.B.I’s attention in 2013, when some of his co-workers reported that he had made inflammatory comments claiming connections to overseas terrorists, and saying he hoped that the F.B.I would raid his family’s home so that he could become a martyr.

The F.B.I opened an investigation and put Mr. Mateen on a terrorist watch list for nearly a year.

James Comey, the F.B.I. director, said during a news conference on Monday that agents used various methods to investigate Mr. Mateen, including sending an undercover informant who made contact with the suspect, wiretapping his conversations and scrutinizing his personal and financial records.

They also sought help from Saudi intelligence officials to learn more about his trips to the kingdom in 2011 and 2012 for the Umrah, a sacred pilgrimage to Mecca made by Muslims. More than 11,000 Americans make pilgrimages to Mecca each year, and Mr. Comey said the F.B.I found no “derogatory” information about his trips.

Where's this supposed soft-footing around "political correctness?" This guy said some weird stuff at work, and they

1) put an undercover on him;
2) wiretapped his phone;
3) investigated personal and financial records
4) interviewed him
5) asked Saudi intelligence about his trips - which surely involved them tailing him

I'm sorry, but what? What?!?

Where's the political correctness? They treated this guy like he was John fucking Gotti! What are you gonna do when nothing turns up? Wasn't for lack of trying, it seems.
