Jane Kleeb to seek Nebraska Democratic Party chairmanship

Source: Omaha World Herald

By Emerson Clarridge

It could be a shorter road to the top of the Nebraska Democratic Party for Jane Kleeb, who on Friday made official what she had suggested earlier in the week: She will seek the party’s chairmanship.

In a letter to convention delegates and county chairs, Kleeb, 43, wrote that “I heard loud and clear from grassroots progressives and respected party leaders that now is the time for me to run ...”

The other key candidate for chairman is former gubernatorial candidate Chuck Hassebrook.

She runs Move on in Nebraska. I voted for her husband for US Senate a few years back.
