GOP congressman offers bill to reverse Obama immigration move
Source: MSNBC.com
Rep. David Schweikert (R-AZ) has introduced legislation that would stop President Obama's recent executive action involving the children of illegal immigrants and their ability to stay in the United States. Specifically, it prevents the Department of Homeland Security from enforcing a presidential executive action as immigration law. "Instead of working with Congress to secure our border and reform our immigration policy, Obama sought to circumvent Congress once again," Schweikert said in a statement. "This thinly veiled political ploy is detrimental to Americans and while President Obama asks the Department of Homeland Security to 'look the other way' on immigration policy, I ask him to respect the rule of law." It's not clear if this bill will be brought to the House floor for a vote, as House Speaker John Boehner failed today to say if he supports or opposes Obama's new policy; he instead said the new policy makes it harder to achieve long-standing immigration reform. . 15. And, probably AZ in November.

It was considered a "toss up" state, but I think this may have pushed the state into the President's hands. I can't help but wonder if he may also get a coat tail House seat or two out of it that he might not have gotten otherwise. No doubt Arizona Latinos are not happy about this crap.

I am so proud of House Republicans, working so hard at creating jobs.
NOT! What a waste, instead, please pass a bill to shut down congress indefinitely, send out the pink slips, deny them unemployment, let them live in the real world for a change. |

PBO and his attempts to do the right thing. Mustn't let any accomplishment stand. No good acts will go unpunished. Until we accede to the demands of the political hostage takers, this country will not be moving forward. If you hate Democracy, the GOP is the Party for you.

What miserable excuses for human beings Republicans are. They are nothing but political pornography. No redeeming social value whatsoever.

works with the Pres O so what the fuck is he spouting? Its just not Latinos/Latinas, there are a ton of Asians that are here illegally, and last I read, they now out number the Latinos, so where is the outrage against Asians? Although, I think the racist (GOP) are probably gearing up a fight against them too.
I guess the GOP are betting on all the SUPER PAC monies to keep them in congress and buy and the white house. |

He thinks Congress still functions as a lawmaking body. How PRECIOUS.
Seriously? This is their strategy? "You're overreaching, but if you even TRY to put anything up for a vote we'll block the SHIT out of it and then blame you for not doing anything!" |

Is AZ one of those 7th grade speaking level states? Where their reps speak at a 7th grade level to their constituents?
