14-year-old boy charged in Albuquerque man's dragging death

Updated 2:32 pm, Saturday, May 28, 2016

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — A 14-year-old Albuquerque boy has been charged with running over a man before dragging him to his death.

Police spokesman Tanner Tixier says an investigation into the Wednesday shooting death of a 15-year-old boy yielded information that led to the arrest.

. . .

He stopped outside an apartment complex, where 46-year-old Richard Sisneros yelled at him to leave.

Witnesses say he ran over Sisneros several times, dragging his body down the street.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Matthew Jaramillo, 14, told detectives he was driving a stolen car when he picked up a prostitute and parked in an apartment complex lot off east Central.

When a man told him to leave the parking lot, he told police he ran over him several times, dragging him to his death.

Detectives arrested the teenager Wednesday. He is being charged with an open count of murder, unlawful taking of a motor vehicle and tampering with evidence.

Jaramillo told detectives that he was driving in a stolen purplish-black Mazda SUV on May 20 when he picked up a prostitute and drove to a parking lot on the 200 block of Virginia NE, according to a statement of probable cause filed in Children’s Court.

With all the other illegal stuff he did, he seems to have skipped the drugs.

I read Harry Potter and Hunger Games and enjoyed them too!

I didn't realize my skill set was all that unique.

and razing their cities in the process. Between the war and genocide, I likely killed off hundreds of millions of people. I had loads of fun taking over the world, but I don't think I would ever do that if I somehow became dictator of North Korea or Upper Volta.

You monster!

And before you jump to the cliche of "But you actually do those things in video games!" - no you don't. You press buttons on a controller. Video games are nothing more than interactive animated movies.

Remember when Doom 'caused Columbine?' Luckily, most people recognize the argument as total bull shit now.

Unless if you only watch rated G Disney movies, your argument is hollow. You're criticizing an entertainment medium that you know very little about.

knows the difference between sitting in your living room with an xbox controller in your hand and being in a real car. This kid needs to spend a long time in prison for what he did.

Things don't go so well for the characters they play as, if you don't know.

Did you ever see Reservoir Dogs? Did that make you want to be a gangster?

I went and slapped on some sweet leather pants and a leather shirt and paired it with some impossibly tall stiletto boots.

I then ran through my neighbourhood with a crossbow and attempted to set up turrets. I'm kinda pissed that none of my companion pets showed up despite my having my full gear set. Also, not 1 lousy treasure goblin spawned. What I was really hoping for was a blood thief but even a shitty treasure goblin would have been ok.

oh wait. No I didn't. Because it's a GAME and I know that. And I knew it when I played every other video game as a teen too.

So many young young people either dead or their lives destroyed. Part to blame is this culture of violence, of might is right. I think it was exacerbated after George W Bush's illegal terms in office. And it will shoot up even more (pardon the pun) if Trump wins.

A buddy who lives downtown woke up to screams and gunshots Saturday night. There was a double shooting at 3rd (4th?) and Gold. Another weird shooting in the SW part of town, and this story here.
