Obama, Putin Give Off Chilly Body Language In The Heat Of Mexico’s CoastLast edited Tue Jun 19, 2012, 12:18 AM USA/ET - Edit history (1)
Source: Associated Press
LOS CABOS, Mexico — It’s hard to tell if President Barack Obama got a sense of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s soul. In front of reporters, they hardly looked at each other. In their first meeting since 2009, Obama and Putin shared little eye contact and did not appear to express much personal warmth following a two-hour meeting on the sidelines of the G20 summit. Putin made brief remarks and then looked down at the table as Obama spoke to reporters, aided by a translator. The gathering had a much different feel compared with President George W. Bush’s first meeting with Putin in Slovenia in June 2001. Bush said then that he was “able to get a sense of his soul.” Yet aides said the media shouldn’t draw any conclusions from the chilly body language. They said the meeting wouldn’t have lasted as long as it did if the two leaders didn’t get along. to make President Obama look as weak as they can, twisting and spinning bull to R'money's advantage. Because make no mistake, this hit piece was written toward that end.

You know the media is reaching when they resort to 'body language' to get an idea of how two men look at each other. What a ridiculous statement.

15. Yep
|
Don't forget the summer of 2008 and the media manufactured supposed "tension" between Hillary and Obama; they wouldn't shut up about it until the last fucking day of the Denver convention.

Impossible. Unless someone off camera maybe tripped over and hurt themselves right at that moment.

continue on their march towards total generation of fake news rather than observe and report on events. The Koch money must be flowing rather freely across the entire U.S. media empire.

Remember the Correspondents Dinner when Obama had us all in stitches while simultaneously giving orders to carry out Osama Bin Laden's assassination? And Putin? A former KGB man who lies to the public routinely while exposing his manly chest in photo ops. The photos show two men who are being cordial and respectful. |
