Romney Bus Changes Route Through Pennsylvania To Avoid Challenge From Democrats

Romney Bus Changes Route Through Pennsylvania To Avoid Challenge From Democrats By KASIE HUNT 06/16/12 03:23 PM ET QUAKERTOWN, Pa. — Mitt Romney on Saturday tried to refocus on middle-class economic issues as his bus tour wound through Pennsylvania – though Democrats pushed the likely Republican presidential nominee off of his original itinerary. Romney rerouted his tour after former Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell and several other Democratic officials held a press conference outside the Wawa gas station where the former Massachusetts governor had planned an early afternoon stop. Protestors gathered outside the store. So Romney decided to visit a different Wawa store instead. "Why we're at this Wawa, instead of the other Wawa?" Romney said as he paid for a meatball hoagie. "I understand I had a surrogate over there already, so we decided to pick a different place. My surrogate is former Gov. Rendell, who said we could win Pennsylvania." 14. That is Romney's spin on Rendell saying on MSNBC "Obama might lose"
|
I couldn't believe he said that, until I stopped for a moment to think whether or not some Dems might be saying words to that effect to encourage more Obama supporters to contribute more to his campaign. Either way, Dems openly saying this give fodder to the Republicans to say Romney has a good chance of winning. It's a perception thing. Bad judgment on their part, IMHO.

If he can not stand up to a few Democrats he would not be able to be President either.

We had an airplane with a banner and a car driving around with a dog strapped to the roof. The crowd of protesters was probably larger than the supporters. Three news vans.
R/money punked out. It is just that simple. No announcement, no apology, nothing but a punk no show. How can we trust him with national security when he runs from the voters. |

21. Romney was AMAZED by the sandwich order computer.

an estimated 150 - 250 Dems at the other shop to protest Romney and THEY OUT NUMBERED supporters. I hope this is a good sign that Corbett hasn't screwed up PA as much as I thought and it goes blue. |
