Car Bombs And Market Blast Kill 63 In Baghdad

Source: Sky News

At least 63 people have been killed and more than 100 others injured in three bomb attacks in Baghdad.

A blast at an outdoor market in the predominantly Shia northern district of al-Shaab killed 38 people and wounded 70, while a car bomb in the southern neighbourhood of al-Rasheed left six dead and another 21 injured.

A lone female attacker set off an explosives vest at the same time as the planted roadside car bomb was detonated in coordinated blasts, officials said.
...
A third bomb later went off in the city's Sadr district, killing 19 people and injuring 15 others.

Kerry lost because of his war vote and it will haunt H. Clinton as well.

Oh right, just get the troops out of there, bring them home, and create more electric car usage. Why are we there? We've accomplished the mission, which was apparently destabilizing the region.

Obama continued it.
Hillary shows no signs of stopping the aggression and militarisation of the Middle East.

Keep voting for "Progressives", though.

Gitmo is still open.
We're still spying on citizens.
We're still sending remote controlled drones to blow up people.
We still have an unprecedented number of military bases around the world.
Syria.
Libya.
We're sending over more troops to "fight ISIS".

She, and many other Democrats, enabled it. 100% of Republicans enabled it, and Bush built it. It was squarely his administration's decision to attack and remove Saddam. Clinton had to deal with the aftermath as SoS.

The Sunnis are launching these attacks on the Shia, over and over, to terrorize them. They've been doing it for what, 13 years now? The Sunnis think the Shia are apostates, and have no legitimate right to govern anyone, and Sunnis in particular - hence ISIL.

Iraq must be partitioned, and the only way it's happening is a Civil War. Get it over with already.

So it wasn't 100% of Republicans... but yeah to that and no to partition. That was Plan B from the start and perpetuates the war.

After bombings in Baghdad kill 77, Sadr's forces deploy in some areas

BAGHDAD | BY KAREEM RAHEEM

At least 77 people were killed and more than 140 wounded by three bombings in Baghdad on Tuesday, extending the deadliest spate of attacks in the Iraqi capital so far this year and driving Shi'ite fighters into the streets to defend some areas.

Powerful cleric Moqtada al-Sadr blamed the government for failing to provide security and hundreds of militiamen loyal to him deployed in Sadr City and five other mainly Shi'ite areas where the worst of the recent violence has been centered.

Islamic State claimed a suicide bombing which killed 41 people and wounded more than 70 in the northern district of al-Shaab as well as a car bomb in nearby Sadr City that left at least 30 dead and 57 wounded, police and medical sources said.

Another car blew up in al-Rasheed, south of the capital, killing six and wounding 21, the sources said.
