(13,297 posts)She is 'damaged goods' right out of the box -- her unfavorables are continuing to hurt her reputation.
If she can't win over a majority of Democrats in state after state that she needs to win, even after she has been called the presumed nominee and even after the entire party flocks to her side, well, that should tell you everything about her viability. Especially in a state she won against Obama.

(10,597 posts)... you're not missing anything on M$M, They wouldn't even cover Bernie's victory speech and thank you to Indiana. At first, he was talking in the dark, and once they got some light on Bernie, they cut out to talk some more about the tRumpster. I have turned my TV off and on about 10 times tonight.
M$M can shut Bernie out all they want.
The Political Revolution will not be televised. Bernie won Indiana tonight.
Hey, he will be in Lexington, KY tomorrow evening. Doors open at 4PM. Place (Heritage Hall) doesn't hold that many, so if you go, plan on going early and standing in line all day if you want to get in. I wish they would have jumbotrons outside for those that don't get in. Hope springs eternal.
Go Bernie!!!

Chico Man
(3,001 posts)Or no presumptive nominee, it's too easy to divide and conquer the Dems - it's a huge vulnerability even with such a terrible Republican candidate. The longer this race goes the better it is for Trump.

(26,608 posts)As many people voted for Hillary and Bernie combined as voted for Trump. The turnout for Democrats in the primaries is scary.
ReRe
(10,597 posts)... that so far, tRump has 10 mil votes. PO won the election in 2012 with 66 mil votes. We need to relax and not be so scared of the tRumpster. Yes, this is a Primary, not the General Election, but still.

(4,229 posts)It took so long for people to know him. I know his campaign has spent a lot of money getting him known, rather than letting others define him.
Although he's getting more and more popular I'm not sure he will have time to catch up enough to win the nomination.
The sad thing is his message is so popular and he's pretty honest and he really would make a good president but if he misses the mark, he will be too old next time.
It's sort of sad that there is no younger politician who could step in and have the same sort of agenda and style.
I mean you look at some other presidents they had to run a couple times before they won. Sanders doesn't have that option.

(39,909 posts)The Movement didn't start with Bernie,
and won't end with him.
He is a charismatic leader, but he stepped in to lead a Movement that was already moving.
Win or Lose the nomination, this has been a GREAT WIN for Progressive Democrats and our message of Equal Opportunity, Equal Access, Equal Protections, Equal Rights...for EVERYBODY... no exceptions,
the unfairness of the Great Wealth Divide,
The Rigged System,
the exposure of Wall Street and Big Bank corruption,
the selling off of our Commons,
the dismantling of OUR Safety Net,
the plight of OUR POOR,
and corruption at the highest levels inside BOTH Political Parties.
THAT won't just go away if Hillary is the nominee.
It will follow her like a rotten fish tied around her neck,
and she will be called on it at every opportunity.
There are other GREAT, Honest, Populist Democrats who can lead.
You just haven't heard of them because they have been shoved into a dark corner and marginalized by the Big Money Democrats and the Media.
If we lose this Primary, pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and start working on the primary of 2020.

Something about locked in her dressing room screaming and yelling its all "that stupid old man's fault!"..........
... did you notice Joy Reed (sp?) while ago (MSNBC)? That girl was about to blast off into outer space! Talking a mile-a-minute, I couldn't keep up with what she was saying. I hope they gave her a stiff drink or something to calm her down. She sounded like she was having cardiac arrest.

(13,297 posts)Hillary is struggling, STRUGGLING, with all her built-in advantages and is unable to put this away. Even as the Party establishment anoints her, even as the corporate media and news world ignores Sanders and speaks of nothing but a Trump/Clinton race, even as politicos and all the financial powers that be line up to celebrate her coronation....
EVEN AFTER ALL THAT... she cannot even bank her own party voters in a state she won previously against Obama
speaks VOLUMES!!!!!

(5,668 posts)Indiana is Union territory. I fully expected Hillary to win this one easy. And I'm a Bernie supporter. This one was about as shocking as MI. She's lost in several big Union states. Can't say about what the racial break down is. Since Gary Indiana is a duh and that went Hillary but not a large margin. But yeah he just got another $15 from me. I wasn't even sure I was going to do one at the moment but for sure he's getting a boost. ticked under 300 delegate lead. But Trump is way way ahead for supposedly a contested race. I have a doubt. The old Obama saying in 2008 is she can't close the deal. Limping along is not a winning strategy in November
ieoeja
(9,748 posts)I was in a bar in Chicago full of union members one night when all but one person said there is no way in hell they would ever vote for Clinton. The one exception was a union rep.
And he was visibly shocked. He's known these guys for decades, and they have always voted the union endorsed candidate. He couldn't believe what he was hearing.
Yuuuuuuge disconnect this primary.

Don't worry Indiana, it appears you're another irrelevant state - like all the others Bernie has won.

(17,301 posts)When MSNBC does talk about the Democrats, it's rarely anything good about Bernie. I think they have taken calling for Bernie to quit to new levels. I can almost hear them sharping their knives any time Bernie gets mentioned. It seems to be personal for them to trash Bernie.
