At Senate Hearing, Jamie Dimon confronted by Occupy Our Homes DC
Source: OccupyWallStreet
Occupy Our Homes DC - Wednesday June 13th, five members of Occupy Our Homes DC temporarily silenced former J.P. Morgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon while he stood in front of a Congressional hearing. Deborah Harris, a disabled former paramedic who lost the title to her home due to J.P. Morgan’s unethical business practices and is now facing eviction, confronted Mr. Dimon over a microphone, asking him to face the thousands of homeowners like herself that are loosing their homes because of his work. She was quickly dragged away while fellow Occupy Our Homes members chanted and loudly accused Mr. Diamond of being a crook. The protesters, including Ms. Harris, were held in jail for most of the day and by 6:00pm all had been released. “I told him to face up to the little people, like me, who had saved up for years only to have their homes taken by giants. When they slapped the handcuffs on me, I felt very proud that I was a voice who stood-up.” Deborah Harris, an Organizer with Occupy Our Homes who is facing eviction. Sorry, I don't have the link readily available but I saw it yesterday on DU. |

6. I OCCUPIED the Oil WELLS Meeting
|
That's the way for all of us to do it!
Instead of just writing letters ~ be heard! Ms. goclarkOBAMA attended a Presentation by one of the major Oil Companies last week. It took place in Culver City, CA. June 12th -- do a google, There were at least 450 people attending ~ all of them MAD as hell about the unregulated drilling taking place in Culver City/Los Angeles -- near OUR community. People were picketing with signs that said STOP THE FRACKING NOW! Some signs saying more descriptive that even that ~ everyone was MAD AS HELL! I was one of the speakers that STOOD UP ( more than 30 of us) after the phony presentation by the big oil company ~ we STOOD UP! When MsgoclarkOBAMA got that mike, she gave them a BIG PIECE of RAGE! During my RANT to them and after I finished, my fellow protesters were CHEERING and CLAPPING for me ~ the OIL THUGS had red faces and could not believe that 5'1 little goclarkOBAMA had socked it to them! OCCUPY! OCCUPY their space and tell them like I did--- WE ARE SICK from FRACKING/CRACKING and your unregulated pumping and we are SICK of You and your Haliburton Buddies! We will not rest until we shut you down! |

11. & last night at my local Wetlands Comm., I told them if the gas co. application is approved, they
|
would be complicit in illegally filling wetlands, since the gas co. needs 1.5' of gravel and fill over the 1950s fill that is already there. The gas co. wants to put in TWO 30K gal. gas tanks, a driveway turnaround, and an office bldg., all on 0.9 ac. of 1957 fill surrounded by a large wetland. "But it's not in the flood zone, according to FEMA," my ass!

I want to shout this to the Roof Tops of DU, follow the lead of our OCCUPY Brave warriors against the 1% ~ Get in their face and stand your ground for what we believe in. Recall when the Democratic Demonstrators stood on the bridge in front of RMoney . Twenty "Supporters" probably paid to listen. Rmoney jumped on his BusCadillac and ran for cover. They really OCCUPIED Rmoney's SPACE! OCCUPY,OCCUPY, OCCUPY their space! |

After paying the taxes I do on my lower=middle income while Exxon Mobil and Rmoney pay 15% income tax, I'd really like to know where this $2 billion/day is lost.

15. Jun 14, 2012 - - Foreclosures up for first time in 27 months - -
|
Last edited Thu Jun 14, 2012, 12:51 PM USA/ET - Edit history (1) NEW YORK (Reuters) - Foreclosure starts rose year-over-year in May for the first time in more than two years as banks resumed dealing with distressed properties after a mortgage abuse settlement earlier this year, data firm RealtyTrac said on Thursday.
The $25 billion settlement between major banks and states, formally approved in April, had been expected to jump-start foreclosure proceedings that were previously stalled by uncertainty about the liability of banks. Oh, that's what the elected officials were doing. Greasing the skids. I can't understand why there weren't 12 million protesters asking why their loans are underwater and this guy gets a pass? Elected officials seem to have given several of the big "investment parlors" (banks is what THEY want you to call them) a pass on the fraud and barely a nod to their crimes. And a lot of money, supported and generated by taxpayers. People have died and tens of millions are out of jobs, perhaps out of a life. The country was wounded and needs the government to reassert itself like it did the last time. That's us. So we are having hearings. Wow, now that's powerful. I wish her luck. |
