Church seeks to build ‘National Pro Life Memorial’ in Wichita

Source: Wichita Eagle

A Wichita church is hoping to raise millions of dollars to construct a National Pro Life Memorial and International Life Center.

The center will be built on land at Meridian and 37th North that has been donated for the center, said Mark Holick, pastor of Spirit One Christian Ministry.

“We’re just in the beginning” of fundraising efforts, Holick said Monday. “We haven’t raised anything.”

Organizers envision “a place of repentance, mediation and healing,” according to a brochure on the project. Plans include an exact replica of the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem and memorial gardens.

Obviously, to celebrate their success in the War On Women, their victory in the battle for control over what women can do and cannot do.

religious people. He supplied religious stores with the stuff they sell. Big markups, cheap manufacturing and lots of profits. He was also into New Age supplies too, that was a big money maker. Flocks are easy to fleece, and also to employ mind control with ... the politicians know that well.

One of the 27 reasons church attendance has dropped over the last fifty years, and continues to drop - except at the carnival show megachurches.

Disclaimer: I am a member of a church that is 100% pro-choice.

I know I will get bitched at for trolling you troll, but let me just point out this.

Roe v. Wade is about privacy rights.

No murder, just your right over your body. Think of it this way.
No Roe v. Wade the next time you go get a check up you could lose a kidney because some 1% douche needs it.

Its about life right so that doesn't change anything for you huh?

Wichita. I lived there for 18 years and saw it going from moderate Dem stronghold (Dems held the state legislature under Michael "Tom" Sawyer in that era and most of the governorships.)

Alas, we saw seeds of the future when Dan Glickman lost to religious loony Tood Tiahrt. Since I left there in the mid 90's things have slid to the right.

However, I was always proud to be a Democrat while I lived there. Sedgwick County (Wichita) always had a wonderful organization. I was proud to serve as an officer in that organization.

Go KS Dems!

and other Doctor's who have been murdered for their beliefs in women's rights. What are the Democrats and Liberals doing to further our cause? The only thing I see and hear is how wacky loony. and bat shit crazy the right wingers evangelicals are. It doesn't seem liberals know how to strike back at them in a very effective way.
We had great leadership when we were fighting for Roe v Wade, and now it is being eroded on a grand scale, every day. Kudos to women like Sandra Fluke.

More activism is what we need, on a very large well organized scale. Name calling isn't enough.

So....

Oh look we a have group of nit-wits at it again. How wonderful....
Say they had half a brain between them, wouldn't they be fundraising orphanages? Instead of sinking millions into a statue and aborted baby fun-house?

What I am saying is, they haven't had any luck with the whole abstinence only, hell their spokes model Bristol Palin has a kid out of wedlock. Wouldn't you think concentrating on corrupting the youth should be their goal? They could have orphanages nation wide home schooling a new generation of nit-wits and fascists.

Just saying...

If they really gave a sh#t about people dying, they'd be in the forefront of fighting for single-payer health care, which would save the lives of the 100,000 people who die in the U.S. each year due to lack of health care. That would save a lot of babies, children, teens, adults, elderly, and that would actually be pro-life, not their false posturing.
