A new Quinnipiac University Poll gives Gov.Christie the best approval ever for that poll. Voters approve 56-36 percent of the job Christie is doing. Approval is 92 – 6 percent among Republicans and 64 – 32 percent among independent voters. Democrats disapprove 64 – 30 percent. “Whether Gov. Christopher Christie is traveling the nation, campaigning for former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, or traveling to Israel to tout New Jersey business, his job-approval rating at home in Trenton continues to climb,” said Maurice Carroll, director of the QuinnipiacUniversity Polling Institute. Voters agree with Christie 46 – 23 percent that the New York Police Department did not adequately inform New Jersey officials about its activities in New Jersey.
