DALLAS (AP) — The friend of an unarmed man fatally shot by a San Antonio officer says he will try to keep a spotlight on the case that police are still investigating.

Alvin Perry held a rally this week for Antronie Scott and said Wednesday that he'll plan another in coming weeks. He says, "Right now, all we can do is keep rallying and asking for justice."

Scott was fatally shot last week as officers tried to serve two felony warrants for his arrest. Police said the officer mistook a cellphone that Scott was holding for a weapon and fired.

Police Chief William McManus says the shooting "happened very, very quickly." He says there was no video of the incident, though there is audio.

Ask questions and if not sure, tell the suspect to throw down whatever he's holding or otherwise they'll assume it's a weapon if he doesn't get rid of it.

Talk to the suspect to assess the situation.

If you're always afraid that a person might be holding a weapon, why did they become police officers to begin with? If you're a chickenshit, look for work elsewhere instead of in law enforcement.

Fucking pigs!
