McCain: 2016 'a different planet' compared to 2008
Source: CNN
"John McCain marveled at the crowds for Bernie Sanders..."I've never seen anything like this," "Listen, Bernie Sanders came to Tucson, Arizona, a couple months ago and 13,000 people showed up, OK?" McCain said, adding he couldn't draw a crowd that size in his home state. "And look at how he's doing in the polls in New Hampshire -- and it isn't just because he's from a neighboring state," he said. "He has tapped into that vein of dissatisfaction that's on the other end. And so we're in for the most interesting political campaign."

(953 posts)but he's really just nudging the Sanders angle because he thinks
HRC will be a tougher candidate to defeat
Both have their vulnerabilites
Sanders - socialism - they're coming for your refrigerators and food and paycheck with
huge tax increases for one payer gub'mint Leviathan
HRC - Well you know, Benghazi, illegal emails, Benghazi, elite Clinton Global Initiative,
Benghazi, she's really Bill Clinton 3, Benghazi, Vince Foster, Fracking (which will suddenly
be a bad thing because as SOS she promoted it), Benghazi
Did I mention Benghazi?
Take your pick.

Mental rigidity and certainty is the hallmark of conservatism.

(5,082 posts)And even more so you're favorite candidate. Nice to see the weapons manufacturers lining up behind her today. You do know bombs are bigger than guns right?

(953 posts)and it's all based on your opinions
I am putting you on full ignore
You are simply an instigator
I said nothing about having a favorite candidate
That is something you read into it based on your assumptions, or fear, or paranoia
Leave me alone, you're not dealing in a logical, respectful manner.

What specifically sounds "Mavericky" in McCain's statement?

(3,839 posts)I was never more awe inspired at a political rally in my life. Bernie was on fire and the crowd was just beautiful.
Tohono O'odham, Pascua Yaqui, Mexicans, poor people, black people, white people, old, young, college, high school, yuppies, professionals. . .it was amazing the diversity.
It made me proud to be in Arizona for a day.

I have not seen a single Clinton bumper sticker in this city. I see many Bernie bumper stickers every day wen on my short commute to work, or out shopping.
And yes, 13,000 people. I've been at that venue for outdoor Pops performances in the summer with estimated crowds of 9,000, and this was way bigger than that. I had to park 3/4 mile away, further than I ever had had to before.

(24,010 posts)I'm at "the other end," and so are most people these days, of that lo-o-ong telescope that the arrogant few within "the Beltway" aim into "outer space," from time to time, at that distant galaxy they call "the People" (or is it the Peons?), observing us from far, far away, calculating our "red shift" (ha-ha-ha-ha!) and hoping that we are receding from them at more than the speed of Light.
What the hell does he mean--"dissatisfaction that's on the other end"?
Look out! The Beltway Aliens have NOTICED us!
