Sarah Palin is a no-show at Trump campaign event in Iowa

Source: Wash. Post

NORWALK, Iowa -- Wednesday marked the first day of Donald Trump's new partnership with Sarah Palin, the colorful conservative icon who endorsed him at a rally on Tuesday night. The two planned to travel together to two campaign stops: First a small venue in the Des Moines suburbs, then a big rally in Oklahoma, according to a campaign press release. An online invitation for the first event promised the appearance of a "special guest."

Trump was alone as he took the stage at the Wright Place, a small venue in a strip of offices in Norwalk. Palin never showed up.

Of course, that's ignoring the fact that she's a bit of a nutjob to begin with.

It seems very apparent to me, anyway, that Palin has some kind of substance abuse issue.

There is her behavior and demeanor, but also the increasing dysfunction in her family over the past five or six years indicates to me that there is something 'out-of-control' going on.

I really, really, am dubious we could sustain this country. I was furious that under G.W. Bush/Shrub that we lost our place on the Human Rights Council - us, the United States! But Trump already has not just Muslim countries but Britain, for goodness sake, considering banning him. How the hell can he be effective if he's not even welcome in the UK?

As we saw with Shrub, you don't have to be effective, you just have to look like you are.
( That 7 minutes in the classroom on 9-11 sure showed us a lot, didn't it?)
His campaign and his term in the WH as pResident in Chief tried to not show who was really running things....Cheney.

Other thing, which Mr. Dixie and I were discussing just a few minutes ago....we are the stage in this country where there is what appears to be serious discussion if a Presidential candidate will be allowed to enter the country of our most important ( lap dog) ally.
How crazy is that?

Hey, grrrrl,

How do we even consider a candidate that isn't welcome across the world? I thought Bush was the Worst President Ever, but if Trump is in office he'll put Shrub to shame. At least, although Bush himself was a loser and allowed himself to be used, he surrounded himself with some people of experience, although you might not like their philosophies (Cheney, Rumsfeld), but Trump thinks/says Sarah Palin would be a worthy candidate for a cabinet position. He kept his ass out of the UK - barely traveled before he was elected, but no one was trying to officially ban him (although the Hague wants to try him for war crimes).

If Bush could take this country off the rails, Trump would literally drive it over a cliff.

And don't get me started on the Human Rights Council.

p.s.: I never know how many 'r's to put in your username - I have to look it up every time.

arah Palin’s son Track Palin, 26, is facing charges after getting into a drunken altercation with a woman outside the former Alaska governor’s home in Wasilla Monday night, according to an affidavit filed in the case.

The charges -- one count each of fourth-degree domestic violence assault, interfering with a report of domestic violence and fourth-degree weapons misconduct -- were reported by the Wasilla Police Department on Tuesday, the same day that Sarah Palin endorsed GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump.

24. Here's what's in the Alaska Statutes:

Alaska Statutes - Section 11.61.210.: Misconduct involving weapons in the fourth degree

(a) A person commits the crime of misconduct involving weapons in the fourth degree if the person

(1) possesses on the person, or in the interior of a vehicle in which the person is present, a firearm when the person's physical or mental condition is impaired as a result of the introduction of an intoxicating liquor or a controlled substance into the person's body in circumstances other than described in AS 11.61.200(a)(7);

Yesterday people in opposition to Trump and the gang were hassling Palin for not being at home dealing with her son's problems. Today they are chastising her for being at home instead on the road with Trump.
This is ridiculous. There is plenty of real stuff to criticize both Palin and Trump for. No need to sink to this level.
The post here is nothing but muckraking and it makes the Dems sound as bad as the Repubs.

She's used to playing on the Big Stage, and her ego just wouldn't allow her to deign to set foot before any less than 10,000 people (just a guess).

Trump will rue the day he brought Palin on board. She's a bigger wild card than he was (notice he's running more like a politician now that he has a chance of winning the nomination). And Palin's got nothing to lose and everything to gain by her exposure with The Donald.
