Syrians in Gothenburg scared by Isis graffiti

Source: Local Sweden

Jacob Asmar and his family discovered the message "convert or die" scrawled on the walls of their pizzeria in red paint earlier this week.

"I think it's horrible because we get thoughts that we don't want to get now (...) like we are going to die because this terrorist group is coming to Gothenburg," the 16-year-old told The Local on Friday.
"We Assyrians are worried - especially my family because we own the restaurant - about how there could be big trouble."

The pizzeria is one of a number of businesses in the Tynnered area of the city that have been targeted by graffiti appearing to support the radical Islamist group Isis (also known as IS) in recent weeks.

"It feels like persecution of Jews in the 30s when Jews in Germany had Stars of David painted on its doors. Now it happens here," said Jacob's father Yusuf Asmar in a separate interview with The Gothenburg Post.

And so it begins. A little faster than I expected, but no surprise.

from an ISIS member that managed to get to Sweden with the rest of the refugees, or an idiot with a can of spray paint that doesn't like the refugees.
I'm leaning toward the latter.

It could be someone who wants the refugees out and is going to stir up shit to scare people. I've visited Gothenburg. It is a nice city and very peaceful.

no picture of the graffiti, no video surveillance. Are there no cameras in Sweden?

The inept and hyperbolic comparison to Jews in Nazi Germany is odd. As we all know Jewish Germans were systematically demonized and persecuted by the State in Nazi Germany. The incident in question here is graffiti done by who knows but certainly not the Swedish state.

My suspicion is that this incident is something between Syrian emigrants.

The ones fleeing now are escaping ISIS, so that makes no sense. However, Sweden does have a large number of Middle Easterners, some of whom may be sympathetic to terrorist groups. Assyrians, a favorite target of these animals in their homeland, make the perfect victims in the diaspora as well. I can tell you that our community in Gothenburg is petrified; they thought they had escaped these monsters, but they seem to follow us wherever we go.
