A nationwide crackdown on human trafficking has led to the arrest of three pimps and the rescue of two victims in the Omaha area, the FBI announced Tuesday.
It is a top priority for the FBI to protect Americas children and free them from the cycle of victimization, Thomas R. Metz, the FBIs Special Agent in Charge of the Omaha Division, said in a news release. Through our strategic partnerships with state and local law enforcement agencies, specifically the Child Exploitation Task Force, we are able to make a difference.
In total, 21 people were arrested in the Omaha area.
According to the release:
Nationwide, 149 underage trafficking victims were rescued and 153 pimps arrested in the operation, conducted throughout the United States last week.

(21,745 posts)DeCamp was denounced as a "conspiracy theorist" for his book about a national child prostitution ring operating out of Omaha.
According to DeCamp, a child prostitution ring known as "The Finders" have been sexually exploiting orphan and troubled children out of the Omaha area for decades. There was a lot of controversy as some of the children claimed they had been flown to Washington, D.C. and other cities for sex and drug parties involving wealthy and politically famous folk. There has also been speculation that the children were used as part of a blackmail ring to entrap powerful and influential politicos. The one person convicted was Lawrence King, a S&L owner who was featured at the Republican National Convention in 1984 and 1988.
A shocking story, and these are only the tip of the iceberg.
But of course, this kind of "conspiracy theory" rubbish is nothing any of us should take seriously, is it?
