Arizona Ron Paul supporters boo Romney's son off stage

Supporters of Ron Paul booed the son of presidential hopeful Mitt Romney off the stage Saturday at the Arizona Republican Party convention as he sought to solidify support for his father's nomination.

Hundreds of state GOP members were gathered at Grand Canyon University to elect delegates for the national convention in August in Tampa, which is expected to select Mitt Romney as the official Republican nominee to challenge President Barack Obama.

"We cannot afford four more years of President Obama," said Josh Romney, the third of Mitt Romney's five sons. "We need someone to step in there and turn things around."

But Josh had to stop repeatedly as people booed and yelled for Paul, who has continued campaigning in the Republican primary. All other challengers, including Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich, have dropped out of the race, and Romney has a commanding lead over Paul in the estimated delegate count.

But Paul supporters have begun flooding state conventions, recently winning control of delegate majorities in Nevada and Maine.

Do these idiots really think that if they bully everyone that Ron Paul is going to somehow win the nomination? I think the RNC has something up it's sleeve to keep the Paul crowd in line at the convention. If by some odd miracle he does win, alot of reps would sit out the elections or else vote for Obama.

Let them continue and cause as many problems as they can. Paul will never win the nomination but they might be able to make trouble at the convention.

What I think is funny, is that it highlights how the party's official processes for allotting these delegates is B.S. Clearly, Romney is their man, and even if the party didn't want him, the media wouldn't let them put anyone else in place now. I guess for me, the real question is whether these Paul-ites are loving this bit of theatre, or do they not know that it's theatre?

they do not live in the a reality-based universe....

one I know listens to Alex Jones all day long and writes blog and newspaper entries claiming even local government is in on the conspiracy to implement "Agenda 21"....

They were planning on a maneuver to snatch delegates at the Republican Party convention in Green Bay (some going as Santorum delegates but intending to switch) this weekend. Haven't heard how it turned out.

Some Democrats drink that kool-aid, too.
The 'both parties are the same' crowd.
They don't understand just what a radical vision Paul and his followers really have. It would be 'welcome to feudalism' not the 'love revolution.' Would they vote for Paul if they thought he had a chance?

That Obama's views on gays couldn't get any gayer. I'm beginning to smell a teeny bit of a hint of backlash against the backlash against Obama's stance on same sex marriage. Right-wingers can't help than to go overboard with the hateful outrage. If they overplay their hand with this and bring out the holy-rollers and snake handlers, they might risk another debacle like the one over contraception. No prob. I can watch them shoot themselves in the foot all day long. And sex froths the base up into it's neanderthal fury like nothing else.

Let's say the guy whom Willard held down and cut his hair actually wrote a book somewhere, and it confirms the story in a sudden release later this month.

Or another story of Willard's past comes out of the woodwork. You know bullies don't just have a single incident. They have series of incidents. Let's say some more incidents come out. And the establishment (R) decides that Willard is too much of a liability, and they tell him to go.

Only one other candidate is still technically an active candidate on the ballot in all the rest of the states. And that could give him the majority of delegates left to be won.

Which, while not enough to win on the first round, COULD put Ron Paul in position as the person besides Willard, with the most delegates, if there is a brokered convention.

Normally I'd say Paul is already through.

This is not normally, though. It is anything but normally.

Could get interesting.

is to get Rand Paul on the ticket as Romney's VP. They are picking up plenty of delegates, and may be able to force it on Romney. The convention should be a real train wreck. Buy popcorn now, before market forces drive the price to the stratosphere.

They are nuts, Neo-Nazi Social party members who thinks it is their liberty to rule over all those around them. Paul is seeking their support and they are joining together. The tea party and other groups the repubs has invited to join has turned everything into a circus, nut jobs that do not understand the oaths they take and now we all have to live with their terror. I am so happy we the Democrats has not wanted to win at any cost, the repubs has sold their name to nuts, let's keep our party as clean as we have, we desire to be the good party, get out and vote to keep sanity in rule, our Democratic members running for offices needs our support. VOTE.
