UAW President Bob King: Mitt Romney deserves no credit for auto industry recovery

DETROIT, MI- United Auto Workers President Bob King is once again condemning Mitt Romney for taking credit for the recovery of the U.S. automotive industry.

“The industry has added more than 200,000 jobs in the last few years and 2011 was the strongest year of industry job growth since 1994,” King wrote in a statement. “None of this would have happened if Romney had been the one making the decisions.”

King’s remarks follow the presumptive Republican presidential nominee suggesting he deserves "a lot of credit" for the recent successes of the U.S. automotive industry.

Romney, who is speaking in Lansing today, has argued that President Barack Obama ultimately took his advice on how to handle the declining auto industry in 2009. His claim comes in spite of his stance that Detroit should have been allowed to go bankrupt.

1. Not to worry...

the liberally-biased media will eventually credit Willard Rom for the bailout. Repeat a lie often enough, and it becomes fact.

3. The media is so timid that they can't even take on this LIE and

if they did report this, laugh their asses off while reporting it. Today's media is a well-paid corporate machine that has nothing to do with news and reporting. It is one large entertainment vehicle.

2. If the wind was blowing East....

Rmoney would wait til it started blowing West then take credit for it. He never makes a decision until all the consequences of other people's decisions are in.

The fact is that if Rmoney had been making the decisions, he would have forced the Auto Industry to take on billions in loans and then he would have sold their debt to China.
