Ron Paul supporters take over GOP convention
Source: Potland Press Herald (Maine)
AUGUSTA — In a major upset, Ron Paul supporters narrowly won the chairmanship of the Maine Republican Convention today. Paul supporter Brent Tweed edged Charles Cragin 1,118 to 1,114 in a very close vote. The vote came after Paul supporters elected Ron Morrell secretary. Morrell got 1,119 votes out of 2,204 to be elected convention secretary. Paul supporters are here in large numbers, with more than 500 having attended an organizational meeting last night and even more here today, said Matthew McDonald, a Waldo delegate and Paul supporter. Despite all of the talk about him being nonconventional, Ron is just another beltway party-line hack who wouldn't dare endanger Willard's 2012 chances.

And his supporters scare the hell out of me. They are a bunch of insane bigoted zealots bent on taking the country back to the 1800s. I can't cheer any victory of theirs no matter how much it hurts Romney.

18. Paul is courting neo-Nazi groups
|
They have plenty of time to run around doing crazy things. Though I am not voting for Romney we sure don't need the Nazi group either. Paul would dance like a puppet to their music. If Paul ran on his record of voting no and only having one bill he introduced to pass out of 464 is not something to rally behind. It has to be a different agenda. If his medical practice had his congressional record he would be in jail somewhere. Someone strong in the republican party like Graham is going to have take a stand and bring the GOP back to reality.

There is so much wrong with Paul's social agenda, do we really need to make up bullshit?
Yes, the storm front clowns think they like him, because he'll cut back on social services, which they think minorities make heavy use of. Joke's on them though, white people are the largest recipient of aid like Food Stamps. They're just too racist and arrogant to realize it. Racists don't talk like this: If you need to shit on Paul, by all means, stick to how he'd torpedo social services that would leave poor people on the streets, seniors eating dog food, and e.Coli in our un-inspected food. There's plenty wrong with this paleo-conservative without perpetuating the storm front nonsense. |

We are registered Independent, but overwhelmingly vote Dem. It didn't occur to me to play spoiler until after I had already voted early.
I'd like to give Paul enough impetus to run as an independent. Really stir things up. P.S. I agree. Paul is a douchbag. |

25. Paul wants Rand
|
to be VP or some important position in Mittens administration. Pres O knows exactly what he is doing. Rachael Maddow explained this a little while back. Apparently this gives Paul leverage quite a bit. While Santie, Newtie, Buchmanie, Perry, Mittens (most) of their supporters left each state after the state's gopper elections, Paul's supporters stayed and became delegates.
Mittens need most of Paul's delegates I think. Apparently he has Rmoney's balls, but, big but, Paul has to deal with Bushies wrecking crew. |

|
That most of the people in this country are tired of the bullshit that has plagued this nation? There are many voices of change. And just about 300 million different proposals for cures. But the 1% are gearing up for a fight. If Ron Paul pushes his success further, (he is ultimately doomed), we could see some cracks in the hierarchy. Bring it on baby!
