Source: KVVU Broadcasting Corporation
A former editor of "Guns and Ammo" magazine is charged with second-degree murder in connection with a shooting on Wednesday. Richard Venola, 53, was arrested at his home on Mayan Drive in the small community of Golden Valley. Mohave County Sheriff's deputies responding to a neighbor's call about a shooting found the victim, 39-year-old James O'Neill, outside the house. O'Neill had been shot in the chest, according to police. <snip> Venola was named the 12th editor of "Guns and Ammo" in 2008, according to an article on the publication's website. If everybody the teabag cabal in Phoenix has declared war on, Brown people, poor people, teachers, students, middle class people, voters, sick people, anyone who does not follow the teachings of Supply Side Jesus who teaches that if you're not rich it's because God hates you, ethnic studies people, all State workers, all regular workers (did I forget anybody?) VOTE, we can throw those assholes out this year.

18. Actually, it should be...guns don't kill people, bullets kill people-after they LEAVE the guns.
|
(then again, you can pistolwhip somebody to death, so, technically guns CAN kill people even without bullets, so...never mind).

35. Intoxicated at the time, the police claim
|
Agency spokeswoman Trish Carter said Venola used a "high-caliber" rifle to shoot his friend in the chest. She said James Patrick O'Neill, 39, of Golden Valley was dead at the scene of the shooting outside Venola's home in the 4800 block of Mayan Drive.
In a report, Detective Larry Matthews said Venola appeared to be intoxicated when contacted by officers. Neighbors told investigators that Venola was "having words" with the victim before they heard a gunshot. "Mr. Venola came over to the neighbors carrying a rifle and stated he just killed a man," the report said. "Mr. Venola acknowledged he killed the man, but didn't say why." http://www.lvrj.com/news/guns-and-ammo-editor-arrested-in-arizona-shooting-death-150032725.html |

Maybe we should add, and when guns are legal, it's easier to become a criminal.
