Officials: Second Hack Exposed Military and Intel Data

Several U.S. officials say hackers linked to China appear to have gained access to sensitive background information submitted by intelligence and military personnel seeking security clearances. The break is the second cyberbreach of federal records revealed in a week and could dramatically compound the potential damage.

Why vital national services are connected to the internet ?

Why is there not an independent network dedicated specifically to isolate vital national networks from hackers?

WTF ? ... This shit kills me ....

... are apparently completely inept at any kind of data security. The Chinese probably have every bit of data they might ever want from us already.

Now there will be a big show, all show, of tightening security. The horse has left the barn, why bother.
