Gingrich Announces That He Will Announce His Exit
Source: NY Times
Most losing presidential candidates want to slink away, unnoticed, with brief statements that their campaign has run its course. Not Newt Gingrich. Taking a page from the typical campaign announcement strategy, Mr. Gingrich has done everything he can to get multiple opportunities for news coverage of his decision to abandon his presidential bid. Last week, he hinted that he would reassess his campaign if he lost Delaware’s primary. Then, after doing so, he let campaign aides say he would quit — but not until the following week. |
Seriously Newt, nobody even misses you. Just go away already. You don't need to hold a press conference to announce that you've decided the nomination is unattainable, everybody has known that for months now. Oh, by the way, if there were another candidate even slightly more viable than Rmoney you wouldn't have lasted nearly as long as you did.

two days after he entered. He could have check with us at DU. He needs to take his fat self home and keep eating. I have a silly question? Does his wife's hair, brain, mouth ever move? I can't recall seeing any of the above ~ what a "First Lady" she would have been ~ after Michelle Obama it's hard to picture a " stuff"First Lady And it's hard to think of one like Romney's who can't relate to the average person. ALL of the first ladies that I remember, were likable. Those that were super rich like Jackie Kennedy did not brag about their wealth, they just enjoyed their life. Lady Bird, Laura Bush, Barbara Bush -- well let me think on that one. |

|
Not since Geraldo Rivera's special about the opening of Al Capone's safe ...
Not since LeBron James' ESPN special about his decision on where to play a game ... Newt's announcement could be epic! I can picture a slow procession, Newt and his entourage, slowly approaching the microphone with "We are the Champions" accompanying his every step. Can you feel it? |

Newtie was only in it for the money anyway. I'm convinced of that. No where can it be shown that he could ever win the white house. He's a scoundrel doing scoundrel things, nothing more of nothing less.

30. Newt needs some help retiring his campaign debt
|
and the establishment won't give it to him. So he stays in until he gets it. His next alternative is to run as a third party candidate. But since they already think that Romney will lose, and they are sick of Newt, they will let him threaten to do this, or do it, and then blame him for the consequences as a way of getting rid of Newt in the future.
