Robert Bales, the soldier accused of killing 17 Afghan civilians. “They will need it all,” said Carlos Alameda, Veterans of Foreign Wars state commander, who was introduced to the staff sergeant at an event before he deployed. “They will need more than that.” The (Tacoma) News Tribune of reported Sunday that the group’s chapter in Tacoma raised nearly $2,000 for the family earlier this month. 3. It's a nice jesture. These poor people have been shunned, threatened

what they do best... I did much of my growing up at the VFW National Home
http://www.vfwnationalhome.org/page.aspx?pid=406 my Grandfather was a WWI Vet and died early... my Grandmother moved my Dad and Aunt from the hills of Vermont to the newly built VFW National Home and she worked there as a Housemother until she retired in the 80's say what you will... I have very fond memories of VFW |

4. We don't convict families of those who do wrong
|
His family has been hurt, too, by what Bales did. It reminds me of Amish Grace.
