Ted Nugent Says He's On 'Even Better' Terms With Secret Service, Praises Joe Arpaio

Source: huffingtonpost

Ted Nugent weighed in on his relationship with the Secret Service on Sunday, stating that he is now on "even better" terms with the agency after being investigated for controversial comments he made about President Obama.

In an interview with the Arizona Republic ahead of a concert in Phoenix, Nugent declined to answer specific questions about the controversy, which began when the rock star told NRA supporters earlier this month that he would be "dead or in jail" next year if Obama was reelected. He did, however, say that he remains on good terms with the Secret Service.

"Very much so, even better now," Nugent said of his relationship with the agency following the investigation.

Nugent also spoke about his friendship with Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, who is currently facing a federal trial after refusing to adjust policing practices that, according to a Justice Department investigation into the Arizona sheriff's department, discriminate against Latinos.

When asked if he planned to see Arpaio while he was in town, Nugent responded enthusiastically, "Oh, hell yeah." He continued, "Hope to perform my honorable Maricopa County sheriff deputy duties while in town with America's top sheriff."

clearly the cry of a desperate washed up old rocker trying to get some attention and its really quiet pathetic to see him reduced to pulling such staged stunts to gain some attention.

involving the DA who was recently disbarred for a scheme to attack his and Arpaios political opponents might eventually change that but considering how much voter support he has it also wouldnt surprise me if they vote someone in just as bad to replace him.

Nobody would even go and watch him perform if buying tickets is involved. I don't mind that much that he refused to go to Vietnam. Lots of us felt the same way. What bothers me is that he didn't join a peace movement or do anything to help end the war. Instead, he went off like some satyr effing everything in sight including underage girls by the dozens. He was an addict, a drunk, a no-show, he would brag how he crapped his pants and came to the draft board caked in his own filth. He's referred to jack booted thugs terrorizing the citizenry and has littered the airwaves with his unintelligent rants. Let him go back on Huckabee to play if he needs a gig. I hope the tax payers don't ever pay this wastrel a dime.

you'll notice we don't hear him mouthing off about all the things he's gonna do to Obama anymore. I'm sure he was told quite pointedly by the SS that he'd better keep his piehole shut.
