ABC News Lebanese intelligence officers are continuing to question crew members after a cache of weapons bound for Syria was found on their ship.
Lebanon says the ship was carrying three containers of heavy machine guns, artillery shells, rockets, rocket launchers and other explosives destined for rebel forces.
The ship is flagged in Sierra Leone but set sail from Libya.
Syrian authorities have repeatedly alleged that weapons have been smuggled to rebel groups via Lebanon, whose coalition government is largely supportive of the Syrian regime.
