Nugent says he's insulted by concert cancellation
Source: MSN.com
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Ted Nugent says he is insulted by the cancellation of his planned concert at an Army base over his comments about President Obama. Commanders at the Fort Knox base in Kentucky nixed Nugent's segment of a June concert after the rocker and conservative activist said at a recent National Rifle Association meeting that he would be dead or in jail by this time next year if Obama is re-elected. Nugent told The Associated Press his words were not intended as a threat against the president. Nugent said he had received messages of support from troops and noted that the Secret Service had met with him and closed its case about the remarks earlier this month. Read more: http://music.msn.com/music/article.aspx?news=724392 Typical, now he's the victim. He makes terroristic threats against the President of the United States and then wonders why he's not welcome on a military base.

This is what I just don't understand! Why would any military group schedule a chicken hawk draft dodger like teddy boy, to do anything. I would have insisted he start his performance with a live demonstration of what he wore for his draft physical.

was it "terroristic" when dude tried to assasinate Reagan? When Kennedy was killed? Lincoln? Um, no. So can we not use the same drama and hype mechanism that the right does?
Nugent was inciting violence against the President. Period. Not a schmidgen less illegal, immoral and dangerous to the POTUS and his family. That's what it was, and THAT is extremely powerful. love how he is the victim, is "insulted" - think President Obama wasnt insulted by comparing him to a coyote? Hmm. This is part of how Plausible Deniability works. If someone inspired by their hero TN goes off and does something violent, he claims he had nothing to do with it, e.g. if you give a tweaker in withdrawal some meth and they hurt someone on that high, none of the responsibility for what happened is yours.

Last edited Sat Apr 28, 2012, 10:12 PM USA/ET - Edit history (1) Nugent, 63, was stumping for Romney at the National Rifle Association convention in Missouri when he blasted Obama, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and others as "criminals" of a "vile, evil, America-hating administration."
"If you don't know that our government is wiping its a(expletive) with the constitution, you're living under a rock," Nugent said in videotaped comments that have gone viral on the Internet. "I'll tell you this right now: if Barack Obama becomes the president in November, again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year," he said. "We are patriots, we are brave hearts. We need to ride into that battlefield, and chop their heads off in November. Any questions?" http://news.yahoo.com/nugent-under-fire-vicious-anti-obama-remarks-161100014.html |

I thought the SS investigated this, is he at it again? I read earlier this week about the hunting charges. You usually don't get your guns confiscated unless you are convicted of poaching, and then it is usually just the ones you were using....including your truck and all your gear.

Oh, yeah. That's right. He played a guitar during Vietnam. No matter, he's a paragon of virtue, uh, well, except for the illegitimate children and well, us cheating. At least he's for consensual hetrosexual sex, even if it is with underage girls. Well, he believes in the laws of these great United States, at least as long as it doesn't involve getting in the way of his personal pleasure in baiting and killing wild animals illegally. Oh, and threatening people, like, you know, Presidents.
Actually, he does seem like good GOPPER material to me. |
