Rand Paul walks out on live interview in third testy media exchange this week

Source: The Guardian

Republican senator Rand Paul walked out of a live interview with the Guardian on Friday, in the third testy exchange he has had with a journalist since launching his campaign for president three days ago.

...snip...

In his final question, he was asked about research showing that white Republicans do not agree with his view that the criminal law is applied in an unequal fashion.

“I think your premise is incorrect,” he said. “Actually I think I can take that message into a white evangelical church anywhere in Iowa and give exactly the same speech and be received well.”

When the reporter attempted a follow-up remark quoting a Washington Post-ABC poll about Republican views on criminal justice, Paul walked off camera.

At least Chris Christie has the good sense to insult the questioner and try to look like a tough guy.

'Tis a pity. I'd rather fools like this weren't involved in politics at all. But since we can't seem to deny them, and our political climate is so poisoned these days people like Paul continually rise to positions of prominence, I thought at least Paul would provide needed comic relief, at least for the time he's involved. At this rate, I can see him playing the "martyr card" soon and "regretfully bowing out." That'll only encourage the other fools to try their hand at trying to drive the clown car.

It will all end when Ted Cruz is shot out of the cannon.
