Lawsuit claims 'union money grab' through Wolf order

Source: Triblive

By Brad Bumsted

HARRISBURG — A nonprofit legal group filed suit in Commonwealth Court claiming Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf exceeded his authority with an unlawful executive order the group contends would make it easier for homecare workers to unionize.

The lawsuit filed by the Fairness Center, which provides free legal services on public-sector union issues, argues Wolf's order enables a “union money grab” for Service Employees International Union.

The SEIU is trying to gain support of homecare workers, a Fairness Center lawyer said. The suit was filed Monday against the Wolf administration and Department of Human Services. Wolf's spokesman said it is a lawsuit by a “right-wing, anti-union organization.”

An SEIU Pennsylvania spokesman could not be reached.

...why is wrong for workers to try and get as much money as they can, when big corps can use and pollute the entire earth for profit but we can't get a dime for our hard-earned labor?

Like "Operation Enduring Freedom", chosen over "Operation Infinite Justice", to name a war.

Slick marketing, at any rate. But who are these "Fairness Center" do-gooders?

It's like turning over a rock and finding the entrance to a rattlesnake nest.
It's the new normal.
