Source: LA TIMES

Amid forecasts that a deal is close, but with several key issues unresolved, six world powers announced Friday they would take a five-day break from their negotiations with Iran over its nuclear program.

The break, timed to coincide with the Iranian New Year holiday, Nowruz, came as President Obama released a videotaped new year's message to the Iranian people, urging them to support the negotiations.

Obama appealed in particular to Iran's young people, telling them that a deal that ends Iran's isolation could lead to a better future for them.

"If Iran’s leaders can agree to a reasonable deal, it can lead to a better path — the path of greater opportunities for the Iranian people," he said. "More trade and ties with the world. More foreign investment and jobs, including for young Iranians. More cultural exchanges and chances for Iranian students to travel abroad.

That the Saudi's may be against a deal because it keeps Iranian oil off the market.

Iranians sell oil to India and China. Both India and China have carved out a safe harbor from the sanctions regime.

Also, a lot of Iranian oil is rebranded as Iraqi oil and sold anyway.

if any Iran deal is scuttled by Congress/Israel.

US maintaining sanctions alone will make sanctions all but meaningless.

France need to also be on board?

The mind numbing childish simplicity of the American media, and their infamous Brian Willliams trust implosion, is what is going to be their final undoing at the hands of social news media...there are more folks who do not like to be condescended to that those Fox TV types that insist on it.

How come there is no Fox Radio and Fox websites are as influential as pudding in comparison to the TV porn subdivision?

and the universe bends to the force of their will.

The Iranians haven't done serious business in the united states for forty years. It wasn't the us sanctions that drove them to the table but the European ones. Very difficult to trade without having access to insurance.

Its almost pathetic watching lobby groups hound congress, as if that will make a difference. Once the securitu council resolutions are gone its game over.
