Jeb Bush rejects idea of raising federal minimum wage

Source: AP-Excite

By BILL BARROW

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush said Tuesday that minimum wage increases should be left to businesses and state governments, opposing a hike in the federal pay floor as an impediment to individuals trying to escape from poverty.

"State minimum wages are fine," said Bush, making his first extended foray into the state that holds the initial Southern primary of the race for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination.

As governor, Bush opposed a 2004 ballot measure approved by voters in Florida that tied increases in the state minimum wage to inflation. Asked about the minimum wage at a pair of appearances on Tuesday, he said he doesn't want to abolish the existing federal minimum wage of $7.25 an hour, but also opposes raising it.

Democrats generally favor raising the minimum wage, while many Republicans oppose it.

He got where he got because of his grandfather Prescott who was a believer in eugenics, just like the Nazis and also "Prescott was convicted by the U.S. government under the Trading With The Enemy Act in 1942 and fined one million dollars."
His grandfather helped finance the Nazis, old news, but important news and this man needs to be confronted every day with these facts, because his grandfather supported the machine that used slave labor, and death camps.
And lets not forget how his grandfather tried to circumvent the U.S. government and have it over thrown to put in place a Nazi government but Gen. Smedley Butler informed the government of this prior to WWII.
SO when this right wing hypocrite comes out and already has a silver spoon in his mouth, he is just a jerk and people need to be reminded that he is for the millionaires and the suckers.
He gives tax breaks to the millionaire's and billionaires while the sucker, the republican base , living off social programs get there social security and Medicare cut and other programs, like education ect....to provide funds for the millionaire tax breaks are the suckers.
SO by virtue of his birth he is disqualified to run or even be in a government position

He wants to continue to repress the 99% so people like him and his criminal family continue to get away with paying very little in taxes.

He knows that many states have a minimum wage that is based on the Federal minimum wage.

So what he is really saying is no minimum wage, the government only helps company owners with tax breaks but doesn't protect workers at all.

A Bush will always be against anything that makes lives easier for working and/or poor people. They are only interested in making money for themselves. They are a crime family, literally.

Higher wages mean more money in average middle class workers who tend to spend it as fast as they make it. So this crap that it hurts small business etc. doesn't carry any weight. The middle class is what generates the economy. Without us, there is no one to sell goods and services.
