BREAKING: Texas’ First Same-Sex Marriage License Issued In Travis County
Source: Burnt Orange Report
Sarah Goodfriend and Suzanne Bryant make history today as the first same-sex couple to be married in the state of Texas. (19,559 posts)Let him. When this is all said and done Texas is going to have to accept marriage equality just like the rest of the states, and this couple will at least have had the chance to marry. Goodfriend was diagnosed with ovarian cancer last year; the couple has been together for three decades and have two children. They deserved this chance to be married and if it gives them some joy and comfort at this difficult time in their lives, I'm thrilled for them!
I'm so very happy they've had this opportunity, and that they'll be the ones to go down in history as the first gay couple legally married in Texas.
