Trayvon's father reacts to Zimmerman's comments to Hannity that shooting 'was all God's plan'

As posted by ABC's Matt Gutman on Twitter:

"zimmerman to hannity: "it was all gods plan…" says wouldnt change anything from that night.

Zimmerman said "it was god's plan". Trayvon's father: "We must worship a diff god bc no way that MY God would hv wanted GZ to kill my son."

As a father of my own kids, if that had been my kid and he'd said that, I would be shot dead or arrested with my white-knuckled hands locked around his totally strangled throat.

Trayvon's family has shown so much restraint and class throughout all of this I am just amazed at these people. I refuse to watch the clip but I would have loved to have seen the reaction of Zimmerman's Lawyer when he said it was God's will. I HOPE AND PRAY that comment comes up in court so a jury can hear that.

I mean, if there is a heaven, then why not go there now? Thinking of my own life, if I had been killed at 17 and, presumably, gone to heaven, then I would have spent the last 33 years in heaven. That's gotta be way better for me than the 33 years I spent on earth. No teeth getting pulled. No horrible cases of poison ivy. No working the night shift in a hot, dirty, noisy factory. No nights spent throwing up because my stomach refused to settle down. No contretemps with members of the opposite sex. True, I would miss some of the good times too, I think there have been perhaps as many as four of them. My little brother would not have gotten Kareem Abdul Jabbar's autograph for his birthday. DU would have missed my thought-provoking, informative, and hilarious posts. There may have been two of those. My 14 grand-puppies would never have been born. 22,000+ toilets would have been cleaned by somebody else. Etc.

I mean, I would hope that my parents and siblings and classmates would be upset, for a while, but how would I not have been a trillion times better off? The world might be a slightly worse place, I think, on balance, but probably not in a really noticeable way.

Zimmerman gave a horrible, stupid answer, but when I consider it, it seems that nothing that happens on earth really matters in the big picture/long run.

is probably going to plead insanity.

Only a totally insane person would say something like that to media.

Hope its an eye for an eye and many years in prison.

I couldn't believe Zimmerman saying how he feels the pain of Trayvon's parents losing a child. How could Zimmerman even guess what that feels like, when he has no children of his own? He doesn't have a clue. Nor do I think he really cares.

I haven't paid much attention to Hannity, since he offered to have himself water boarded, to prove it wasn't torture....then chickened out.

Zimmerman & Hannity...two unspeakable cowards.
