Just think how bad its gonna look when they show romney's horse prancing in the Olympics.

Whooo eeee. Incredibly bad timing. Every "strength" is now a weakness with this guy. I don't see how he's gonna make it past the convention if he gets that far.

Poster boy for the rich leech lifestyle. Can't help of thinking about all the poor souls who lost a living so this guy can show off a prancing horse. I think others will be thinking that too when they see that horse.

Ba ba ba bad.

1. and we know he got a $77,000.00 tax cut for his horse last year

That will play into the narrative nicely.

for however long it remains in the competition.

13. I don't know much about the Olympics and even less about dressage

but unless the horse wins some kind of purse from the Olympics committee, are there any earnings from which to deduct expenses?

15. good point. hobby expenses aren't supposed to be

deductible. And if he wins something, he's only supposed to deduct as much as the winnings and no more.
Now I'm wondering how he got a deduction in the first place. Is dressage a business? Seems more like a hobby to me.

19. Dressage is a business...

if you breed and train dressage horses.

The Romneys, so far as anyone can tell, just have this one horse out there prancing around and don't do any of the other things that dressage people use to earn money to feed themselves.

21. Well, there's the other drugged-up horse they sold.

That cost them a few bucks in cash atonement.

Plus hard to keep up a tough guy image when your hobby is a dancing horsey. Can you just imagine how fast they would call Obama a pussy if this was his thing? I guess we slobs just don't get it.

I can't wait until the animal rights people start talking about how bad that shit is for the animals.

18. If it goes like a typical olympics, viewers won't see much if any

The horse events are usually buried while the bigger events are hyped. You have to go to the internet to watch them mostly.

22. This could be the perfect payback for the Kerry windsurfing ad where he

is seen surfing to the right and then to the left, with the "Blue Danube Waltz" being playing behind it. The Dems, I hope, will use the same damn music whilst showing the prancing, dancing dressage horse.

THAT would be delicious, in your face, cold, hard revenge...

Windsurfing is kinda cool, and a lot more normal than riding a fussy, prancing, ballerina horse.

...with some lame excuse that it was an unfair attack on Ann's Multiple Sclerosis therapy.

I'm sure they don't want to talk about dressage, animal abuse, the fraud, etc... But, they want a gold medal!

I think the American Public should be be well informed about what a Romney-esque tax deduction looks like.

31. All costs are paid by the USOC. Honestly I think its the wrong message to ding any American Olympian

The expenses for the rMoney's horse have been paid by a private Olympic committee for a long time already and will continue to be paid just like any Olympic athlete.

Supporting the Olympic athletes, even this horse, is the right thing to do. Obama will come across as FAR better if he takes the high road and gets behind the team - all of the team.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, dressage is not a rich man's sport - virtually anyone who rides utilizes dressage from the poor kid on the Pine Ridge reservation to Kali the DU rancher. Its an ancient battle skill like fencing and is preserved by the rich guys at the highest levels to the benefit of all, like fencing or poetry. At its base however, its the improvement of a horse and rider's communication skills and harmony.
