1. but the back story that it covered up
|
was so important they had to find Weiner's weiner to stop the investigation into Clarence Thomas. It was concerted.

7. Are you saying Weiner was in on it?
|
You know that he accidentally tweeted a picture of his junk right?

3. The real dicks sit on the Supreme Court.
|
5-4, they overrode the will of the People.
Slappy Thomas is only the most obvious crook because he stands out. The new Sgt. Pepper Rehnquist earned his stripes pimping Ed Meese. Ooh! "Stands out." Har har har. |

4. Honestly
|
I'm ashamed for him.
Just like WJClinton should have easily said to his adoring young Monica: "No, child, this is not something we do" Congressman Weiner owed the people exemplary behavior while in office. I am a fan of his thinking and his actions, too bad it included perversity that brought justifiably brought him down. A huge loss to the Democrats. |

6. I agree. It was a recklessly stupid move.
|
It's always been about the colassal stupidity for me.
People have affairs, sext, flirt all the time. They even lie about it. I am not shocked or appaled or offended by these things. He sent lewd pictures and communicated with not one, not two, not three, but (at least) SIX random women he didn't know at ALL on the internet. People he didn't know and couldn't even come close to trusting. It turned into a problem and for a couple weeks, the ONLY thing we were talking about. And we wouldn't have if he hadn't been such a fucking fool. His credibility is shot. He clearly has ZERO sense of judgement if he thought his actions would not get out. Fucking idiot. How did you think this would end, Weiner? I really thought you were a smart man. He used the same account for public communication as he used to tweet his peeper. That's weird and wrong. If any of us had an account on Twitter or Facebook that we used for our high-profile jobs, then used it to find customers/potential customers who liked us to troll for people we could "cyber" with THEN used the SAME said account to do that, we'd quite understandably be toast. Let's leave this level of stupidity to "them". We're smarter than that. |

17. Seems denial of an "embarrassing situation" is human
|
So? While his actions were stupid for a person in his position in This society but it was Also consensual, between adults and is a Common activity...
Again-Weiner committed NO CRIME. Where is the harm To You by him Not wanting to Publicly air a private matter between he and his family? Having Weiner gone from Congress is More harmful to All of us than his "to us"; non-consequential avoidance of the matter. What would You or any of us do in a similar situation? |

18. It was worse than that
|
He charged a specific person, Dan Wolfe with hacking his account and threatened to sue and investigate him.
All the while knowing it was all untrue. Nope. I wouldn't have done that. |

19. Is there a link that absolves "Dan Wolfe"?
|
And again, what harm befalls You? How do you Know Weiner didn't believe it when he stated it?
The consequences to Weiner are excessive in relation to his actions.... Over and out on this issue, it has been hashed and rehashed. I agree to disagree with you. |

20. Wolfe said he had nothing at all to do with Weiner's anything
|
He offered to take a lie detector test, give any computer info to any investigator and allow his URL to be tallied.
At the time Weiner charged him, there was only one person for sure who knew Weiner was guilty and that was Weiner. Yet he charged a political enemy with hacking him when he knew it was untrue. He deserves no respect or trust. |

14. It was stupid. But no where near as stupid as allowing a SC Justice like Thomas
|
to get away with tax cheating, being funded by an organization he paid back with his votes and refusing to recuse himself.
The priorities of political 'experts' in this country are the reason why we have so many problems imho. Eg, what was more 'shocking'? Someone engaging in cyber sex OR a compromised SC Justice who helped hand an election to a pretender? What he did would never have been heard of if he had not been going after Thomas so successfully. And those who chose to see cyber sex, a perfectly legal activity as more 'shocking' than leaving this man on the SC who has done more harm from that position than if all Members of Congress were having affairs at the same time. |
