WTF!? Protestors lying in street have large tent placed over them and gassed(?)

#OccupyHouston: Watch this video from about 1:20 mark. Protestors are lieing in street arms linked and unmoving when a large tent is placed over them and gas canisters are placed in where the ground meets the tent wall. A fireman then comes over and opens the gas canister and after a few seconds removes it.

From the video it appears the protestors were gassed followed by police entering the tent and arresting them...

I call BS. The tent was sturdy enough to be carried by firemen over their heads and placed on the ground.

Not to mention, WTF is the tent for anyway (i.e. what are they hiding?). Obviously something they didn't want the protest crowd to see.

the firefighter removed it, It's a compressed air tank from a Scott SCBA Air-pak, more commonly seen on the back of a firefighter.

The tent doesn't look particularly air tight, so would lose inflation pretty quickly.

But if one were to pump a noxious gas in there, well that's another story.

And why use the tent at all unless you are trying to hide something?

the pipes were being cut with saws and the tent was put up to contain any sparks.

Considering the wildfires that have already devastated areas of the state, preventing sparks from flying into the dry grass would be very important.

and intimidate people, which is bad enough, it doesn't do the movement any good to exaggerate. It's pretty obvious from watching the video that nobody was gassed.

I didn't realize they had chained themselves to pipes and the pipes were being cut.

The whole thing does look pretty sinister fromt he video and it's hard not to be suspicious these days .

What the hell are they going to do to protesters when they know they cannot be recorded?

That I have to say this, in the United States of America...is boggling.
