(21,043 posts)I don't know if you watch The Twilight Zone. There's an episode in which this guy who likes books more than people, but he works and hasn't enough time to read. People are always bothering him.
So one day he hides in the bank vault (he's a bank teller) and the H Bomb hits. So he walks outside and everybody is dead. He gets sad, then he realizes the world is his: he'll have enough food for his whole life, and he'll have the libraries of books to read all his life. It's his dream come true! He's giddy with happiness!
He goes to the library to get books, when suddenly, as he bends over to pick up a book, his thick reading glasses fall off his face and shatter.

Thom Hartmann does not allow people to phone in and talk about a recent guest, because he would like the guest to be able to defend himself. People get so much shit wrong.
