Romney Campaign Says No Ceasefire On Obamacare, Remains A ‘Central Issue In The Campaign’

he Romney campaign’s response to the Supreme Court’s decision on health care reform has been decidedly muddled, leading to some experts to suggest that the campaign was entertaining a plan to move past the health care issue. But on Tuesday,
Washington Examiner columnist Byron York published a series of quotes from Mitt Romney campaign spokesperson Ryan Williams who said that the campaign has no intention of entertaining a ceasefire on the full repeal of health care reform.

The Romney campaign’s response to the Supreme Court’s ruling on President Barack Obama’s health care reform law did not inspire confidence among his conservative supporters for whom repealing the law is a priority.

Furthermore, columnists have written that American voters have begun to warm to the law.

The Hill columnist Juan Williams, writing for Fox News, notes how the Affordable Care Act is gaining in popularity land is likely to continue in that direction:

On Sunday Reuters released a poll showing 48 percent of registered voters now back the bill. That is up five percent since the ruling. That includes a bump in support among independent voters from 27 percent to 38 percent. And even opposition among Republicans, who overwhelmingly hate it, went down five percentage points from 86 percent to 81 percent.

Looks like they are doubling down...for what? Who knows. Romney must be feel his standing with the base is pretty damned soft, he has to keep attending to it. You can bet they are gnawing on their fingernails on this...Santorum's prophetic statement ringing in their ears. You really believe this was the plan? This was on Romney's outline for General Election?

Can you smell the fop sweat of the established GOP?

FIVE MONTHS of smearing Obama's face...The Holder contempt vote was supposed to be ICING ON THE CAKE....and it all backfired on them....the Supreme Court Case, and the Contempt vote...it was to totally HUMILIATE Obama...and it all backfired.

THEY HAVE NO PLAN..they are winging this folks...I am tellin ya.

They wanted to totally decimate Obama's reputation. To destroy him..that was their plan, and it backfired. They have no other plan...so they do what they always do, when caught flatfooted...they DOUBLE DOWN.

5 months of smearing Obama's face". In all fairness, I know you're talking about the primaries, awaiting Supreme Court decision and all leading up to general election 2012. But it can not be said enough that the pigs have been doing it since inauguration. And that is all they have done.

Their war on women has failed.
Their assault on immigrants has failed.
Their assault on healthcare has failed.
They have been outed on the voter suppression.
They are fighting tooth and nail to keep the anti-union laws.
They have ceded their so-called "expertise" on foreign policy and "terra "terra" "terra".
They have had to back off of every threat to shut down government and related programs.

Basically, they have been exposed for the fraud that they are. Shakespeare described them and their reign of terror the best -

Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage
And then is heard no more: it is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing.
