Criminal Complaint Filed Against Attorney General Jeff Sessions For Obstruction Of Justice

By Jason Easley on Mon, Mar 27th, 2017 at 2:14 pm

A criminal complaint has been filed against Trump Attorney General Jeff Sessions accusing him of perjury and obstruction of justice.

The criminal complaint which was filed with the Inspector General’s Office and the Office of Professional Responsibility states, “The criminal conduct described in this complaint relates to testimony and false statements about communications between Sessions and the Russian ambassador that were made by Sessions to the Senate Judiciary Committee. It also concerns Sessions’ acts of concealing his crimes, covering up his crimes, impeding the investigation his crimes, interfering with the prosecution of his crimes, conspiring to commit crimes and otherwise interfering with or impeding the proper administration of the Department of Justice.”

The complainants are 23 residents of Maine, Massachusetts, Oregon, California, and Vermont. The complainants are demanding a Special Counsel to investigate Sessions and the Russia scandal, numerous federal investigations, and an indictment of Sessions for violations of federal law.

The attorney for the complainants, attorney J. Prosecutors at the Department of Justice cannot properly investigate this matter while Sessions remains in office because of a natural reluctance to aggressively probe and .....................

I think this is tantamount to reporting a crime to the police. The police will investigate and a DA will determine if they plaintiff can be charged with a crime and arrested and sent to trial. No?

He lied to Congress. He is not fit to be the top law enforcement official in this country.
Why was Trump so furious when Sessions recused himself from all things Russia? Because he was the ace up their sleeves. Sessions need to be gone.

Hey, maybe our country IS set up to thwart the efforts of puppets to infiltrate and take over our country!

Morning Joe pointed out how things are working with an out of control totalitarian: He signed an EO for a travel ban, that the Courts quickly stopped; He tried to get a bad healthcare bill pushed through the House with no explanation of it to representatives or the people, and Congress shut it down; He tried to get another country to pay for a wall, and the country just flat refused to pay; he may have tried to collude with a foreign enemy during the campaign, and our intelligence agencies are investigating it and seem to be doing a good, impartial job of that; he tried naming two or more people on the payroll of foreign countries into his cabinet/administration, and our intelligence agencies discovered the foreign agency roles.

Now we have citizens who are suing to have Sessions held accountable for lying under oath to Congress, when the DOJ doesn't do it?

Maybe the founding fathers set things up at least adequately to handle an infiltrator totalitarian, after all. We don't have the end of the story yet, to see how our system holds up. But so far, it's looking hopeful we can withstand this for a while.

Absolutely delightful. I'm very tired of seeing laws broken and ignored because
there is no political power to enforce them. Citizens must act where they can.

Lied under oath. Clinton was impeached for that. He makes a signing statement amending his testimony and that makes it all fine. I don't think so.

This can be done! IMPORTANT!

One way to approach it is to file a Disciplinary Complaint with his licensing board in DC (where he is acting as a lawyer), and Alabama, or anywhere else he may be licensed.) That is the Bar of DC and the State Bar of Alabama. You do not have to be a lawyer to do this, but a lawyer familiar with the rules and cases of the jurisdiction can make a much stronger complaint.
I don't find other places where he is licensed.

(Bill Clinton was disbarred in Arkansas after the Lewinsky debacle.)
However, a disbarred lawyer CANNOT be Attorney General of the US!

Still, anyone trying whatever, is probably to be commended, but we don't want to pile up a lot of frivolous cases and loses.
