It seems that no matter what about 28% of the population is too dense to understand ramifications of the news.
28% are the dedicated tin foil hatters.

Hypothesis: Recent brain studies show certain distinct differences between liberal and conservative brain functioning. This may indicate a subspecies of human with minor epigenetic adaptations. In this case subspecies is not pejorative, just positional.

So many questions. That 28% fits very closely to my guesstimate of the most conservative human population: cults, hate groups, white supremacists and, regrettably, etc., etc., etc....
Now suppose we find the same percentage in the most liberal populations? Neither can win elections. Between the extremes of subspecies there must be other (crossbred?) populations, enough of whom can be swung one way or the other. Of course this doesn't just apply in the US...look at the world around you.

Sorry, I'm babbling. hobby horses.

When something totally obvious occurs there always seems to be about 28% that don't believe it. Very rarely has it gone below that. That seems to be the rock bottom.

There's just too many die hards out there.

But 30% would be a great start to the 2018 elections.

They don't care how bad his policies are. But if he can't implement his bad policies, well, that's weakness. And once they see weakness, they'll start pecking away at him.

The people who continue to support Cheeto Vomit are racists. That's how he sucked them in and why they will not go away. It's not the economy, the future, or technology that motivate them. It's racism.

He knows of that voted for drumpf. At this time 2 of them are asking themselves, "What was I thinking? I'm not naive. How could I have fallen for that?" The third one (still a supporter) is a diehard, ultra-conservative who thinks the Freedom Caucus is too liberal.

In tRump's case it is headed in the right direction. Down, down, down. So for that, we can say a hearty Hallelujah! At this point, trump could promise a Chicken in every pot, 40 acres and a mule and not raise his ratings a peg. Is it too soon to say the bloom is off of the rose?
