5. Traditionally, conservatism is supposed to be about resistance to change

at least resistance to change that is perceived at too fast. But today's current crop of GOP conservatives are not really conservatives in the traditional sense of preserving and protecting what is good and what works in gov and in society. You don't see them conserving and protecting the environment, the social safety net, good jobs that pay a living wage, public education, affordable healthcare. Instead what we have are people, whose highest value is the love of money. Acquiring money by any means, to the detriment of others at any cost. The current GOP conservatives are nothing but a bunch of criminals, who will sell off our gov services to for-profit corporations, raid the public treasury to offset the damage they do to the environment, write self-serving laws to rig the market, and corrupt the political process and democracy to stay in power. We liberals are the ones, who need to take back our country from these deplorable criminals.
