(11,424 posts)and I also don't think he will win. I have only lived here 7 years and I have talked to some dems who don't like him and either won't vote or will for the other guy .I am scared about my state.

(2,424 posts)I'm voting yes.
I live in the conservative eastern part of the state.
Most folks are full of FOX talking points and will certainly vote for the Republican candidates. Of this group, i find a significant portion that are pro legalization for a couple reasons.....
1) It is the Libertarian thing to do.
2) They are related to or friends with someone who otherwise is a contributing member of society, yet face harsh penalty for a rather harmless offense.
Many are acceping the idea of gay rights as well. They seem to be mostly concerned about guns, abortion, freedom of religion, and jobs through business growth. All the standard FOX fare.
We have to wait until FOX leverages it's full weight on the issue before they make a definate stand. We all know they can't think for themselves.

(62,265 posts)There hasn't been much change as far as the effort is going, you don't want to burn out too soon, I don't think. But we're polling well, there will be a massive effort come this fall, and I think it will actually help Obama win the state again. Another county signed on to allowing marijuana dispensaries. The overall trend is toward legalization, imo.

(562 posts)Just wondering...
My county is Arapahoe County even though I live right across the border from Denver County - both legal dispensaries.

Sorry if that was wrong, I'd just heard about it but I had to look it up and wasn't fully correct.

(2,335 posts)....by passing thè legalization measures
Medical cannabis is not enough. For true economic reform and personal liberty we need cannabis/ hemp treated like beer and wine
By passing these measures you all will be blowing an irreparrable hole in thè dam that is thè war on drugs What will POTUS et al do? Sue. Go for it. They would have to prove that cannabis belongs on schedule 1. And they can't, and they know it.

(62,265 posts)They're already spreading propaganda on sites that 64 will restrict marijuana usage. Yes, of course it "regulates" usage. But without it usage will be illegal.
The big growers are making bank off of growing that stuff and selling it on the black market.
