Could Chuck Schumer (D-NY) follow Bob Dole's (R-KS) lead and seek the 2020 Democratic Presidential

Nomination to unseat Donald Trump-R.
Bob Dole was the Republican leader of the US Senate from 1985-1996 (Reagan's 2nd Term to Clinton's 1st Term) when he decided to seek the 1996 Republican Presidential nomination to unseat Bill Clinton-D but was unsuccessful.
Chuck Schumer-NY has been Democratic of the US Senate since 2017. If Democrats don't find a decent candidate to unseat Trump-R by 2019, then Schumer should seek the 2020 Democratic Presidential Nomination. Unlike Dole-KS in 1996,Schumer-NY has an excellent chance of getting elected President because Schumer-NY is a much better campaigner than Dole,Gore,Kerry, and Hillary Clinton. Schumer-NY unseated Al D'Amato in his first US Senate Race-1998 and won re-election in 2004,2010,and 2016 with over 65 to 70 percent of the popular vote. Schumer could win back the Bernie supporters by leading the fight to block any of Trump's agenda from passing in the US Senate by a filibuster. Elizabeth Warren-MA could be the next Democratic Leader.

If it's anyone from NY it will be Governor Cuomo....but I don't think he would make it through the Primaries. Corey Booker is going to get in the race as well. I think we could win with Jay Inslee from WA who has demonstrated great success with core liberal values and at fostering trade and business climate in the state. I could see him running with Tammy Duckworth as Vice.

He is the most progressive Democrat among fellow NY Democrats Cuomo,Schumer, and Gillibrand.
Previous NYC Mayors John Lindsey and Rudy Giuliani was a Presidential candidates but were unsuccessful in getting their political party's nomination.

He's got a lot of issues and was under investigation for corruption.

I'm not sure if he's a sure thing for reelection this year.

We'll be getting over Trumpitis ....another rich NYer will not play well in the middle lands. I'm pretty far to the left but he doesn't strike me as someone of substance and strength.

I don't even like Cuomo. LOL! I've become very persnickety in my old age regarding our candidates.....I know there is no one perfect but I think there are people out there who may not get the limelight who can win and do a great job. We just need to sniff them out and get them on board...

Here's another one for you to use: Harry S. Truman's corpse rises from the dead and he challenges Trump. Could he win?

And it gives us the opportunity to discuss leading Democrats who we like, such as Elizabeth Warren, Jay Inslee and others.

I believe what BlueStater was referring to is that the OP has put up an inordinate amount of posts discussing our potential 2020 nominees.
