It was funny.

Just bad timing. Trumps supporters have shown a fondness for avoiding any critical thought and this plays right into the narrative Bannon and co want.

Us vs. Them..

If we are to stand any chance at holding trump and his minions responsible for what they do in the near future we are going to have to appeal to the more rational members of his constituents (if any exist, like it or not) since republicans control any and all means do this. What we are seeing in the town halls is promising but more republican voters are needed to demand their congressional reps do their job get the ball rolling on investigations. If republicans had not won the entire play ground last nov we would not need to appeal to anyone...but they did.

Dems, the left can continue to treat these people as we have with contempt / disgust (which did not work out real well last Nov) and hope/pray that between now and the mid terms trump does not cause irreversible damage AND that we actually win back the house or senate and regain control of committee chairs. But as I said that playbook did work out real well for us in Nov.

To those bemoaning "low post count" as a metric for authenticity. Remember many had to start new accounts in Nov.

"What do you suggest we all do for that everloving kumbaya moment? I think we're way beyond that."

That is a really good question and one I do not have a good answer for. But a way is going to have to be found if we are going to avoid a complete breakdown nationally that eventually becomes violent. I would like to think that we have progressed as a nation and nothing would ever set off another event like in the 1860's but I am not so sure now. When two sides are unwilling to talk to each other there are not alot of options left. Hopefully appealing to the more rational/middle of the road republicans will help. You are right, some trump supporters are way beyond finding any common ground with but hopefully not all or we are in serious trouble.

two terms, President Obama tried compromise, and that was with the supposedly intelligent people in the opposition party. It got him nowhere. So to think it will work now doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. Look at the woefully inappropriate cabinet picks and then look at the rethugs who voted for them.

No, I don't see any sense in trying to get along with them, because they could not care less.

And which one is that?

"Rational Trump supporter" is kinda like "honest Republican"--they haven't been proven to exist. Being oxmoronic, Trump supporters wouldn't be Trump supporters if they were rational, and rational individuals can't truly be rational if they support Hair Orangefeuhrer. I would expect to see unicorns, Bigfoots, and Loch Ness monsters before I would see a "rational Trump supporter."

It provides a point of actual proof that trump can point to to give credit to what so far has been a baseless accusation that people in opposition to republicans / trump are going to rallies/gatherings to disrupt. My point may seem trivial (obviously given the replies) and under different circumstances I would agree but look at all the things trump has been able to get his supporters to believe with out any actual evidence...we don't need to be handing it to them. Trump may be inept at actually governing but he is very familiar with image and perception of image and how to manipulate that.

If we are to stand any chance at holding trump and his minions responsible for what they do in the near future we are going to have to appeal to the more rational members of his constituents (if any exist, like it or not) since republicans control any and all means do this. We have great power. It is a rare moment in history where the masses are actually putting their power to use. We are the majority. Many who did not vote in 2016 are now WIDE awake and joining this invigorating effort. Every day more people wake up to reality. Polls are ravaging Tinyhands, GOP pols are running from huge townhall crowds and there is no sign of the passion waning. Quite the contrary. Things are just heating up.

Now is not the time for timidity. This is the time for action. This prank is harmless. No one who would be up in arms about such a thing could IN ANY WAY be considered "rational" on any level.

The days of appeasement and kid gloves are behind us. This is a war for the proverbial soul of the country and it is time to stop caring about the feelings of the fascist enablers.

What we need to do with all of the marches is focus on getting the Constitutional Amendment passed that gets rid of campaign donations, Super PACS, Dark Money, and the Revolving Door and calls for Publicly Funded Elections.

Most of the problems we have are caused by the Plutocrats like the Koch Bros, DeVoss...and big Wall Streeters and MIC company heads who are able to control our politicians. Their money is what is driving the attacks on the middle class and poor, women and minorities, education and immigrants, and causing the various problems for many different groups of our society.

Cut off the legal bribes and things will start to benefit the rest of us!

41. And here's the guy who did it with him, Ryan Clayton

The Conservative Political Action Conference ejected its second troublemaker in as many days on Friday, tossing out a liberal activist who distributed miniature Russian flags – emblazoned with 'TRUMP' – for fans of the president to wave.

Ryan Clayton, a liberal activist, was escorted off the property of the suburban Washington hotel where CPAC is held annually.

CPAC spokesman Ian Walter confirmed Clayton's identity in an email to DailyMail.com.

Conference security quickly collected dozens of the flags, passed out before Donald Trump's mid-morning speech. 'If you're waving them, you will be removed,' one guard told attendees.

If I was 40 years younger, I'd track him down and give him a big kiss, which if I were 40 years younger, he'd enjoy.

As for the punked folks at CPAC, well kiddies, stupidity will bite you in the asses every single time and we're sick of having you drag us down the tubes with you.

67. Reminds me of Dick Tuck who pranked Richard Nixon
Fri Feb 24, 2017, 04:20 PM
Feb 2017
Tuck's most famous prank against Nixon is known as "the Chinatown Caper."[4] During his campaign for Governor of California in 1962, Nixon visited Chinatown in Los Angeles. At the campaign stop, a backdrop of children holding "welcome" signs in English and Chinese was set up. As Nixon spoke, an elder from the community whispered that one of the signs in Chinese said, "What about the Hughes loan?" The sign was a reference to an unsecured $205,000 loan that Howard Hughes had made to Nixon's brother, Donald. Nixon grabbed a sign and, on camera, ripped it up. . . .

Tuck is credited with waving a train out of the station while Nixon was still speaking. Tuck has at times taken responsibility claiming "Nixon's up there talking and suddenly the crowd goes out like the morning tide"[6] while at other times he has denied it entirely[7] saying that he did borrow a conductor's hat and wave to the engineer, but the train stayed put.[7]

In 1968, Tuck utilized Republican nominee Nixon's own campaign slogan against him; he hired a very pregnant African-American woman to wander around a Nixon rally in a predominantly white area, wearing a T-shirt that said, "Nixon's the One!"[8]

I'll bet those clueless, flag-waving CPACers thought the red, white and blue somehow symbolized "Amuricanism".

Not just one of this flag, but also that t-shirt he's wearing.

Here's a golden (pardon the pun) opportunity for someone who produces advertising-specialty items:
1. The flags -- a keepsake for those who #RESIST;
2. A flag bumper-sticker or magnet. Poking fun at the Trumpsters who drive around with the MAGA stickers, while pointing out the Drumpf-Putin connection; and
3. T-shirts. In addition to the one that my latest hero is sporting in this photo, add one with the flag as depicted on the front, and a similar one, with the Russian flag and the letters -- also in gold -- TPYMП. (That's the ShitGibbon's name in Cyrillic, in case you didn't recognize it) on the back. Or vice-versa.

The opportunities are out there. Seize them.
And... well done, sir!
