"They're scared. They're really scared." Congressman Himes about GOP housemembers

They're scared of fRump. In last night's CT town hall.

He said the usual suspects who will stand up to fRump, McCain and Lindsay Gragham the only exceptions.

He also said the dems have 0 power, but that down the road, some GOP support will peel off and there may be some chances for coalition building on some issues.

He said there are some issues like health care where you don't ever compromise, but there are others like infrastructure where he's willing to make deals.

Dems love to meet the GOP halfway, and halfway, and halfway, inching ever closer to the insanity of GOP-land. It's an asymptotic road to Hell.

We need to stand up to them, this travel ban and now deportations are taking things way too far. We're going to get involved in a major war before the year end if we're not careful. We need to make sure we're the anti Trump and oppose every single one of his policies.

and pass their hypocritical agenda then they will try to pretend they are on the peoples side and tell us how it will help us and the good of the country, then pander for votes.

Their stupid base will wake up after they are fucked up even more.

7. It might accomplish nothing, but I've decided I'm going to start writing to Repubs

(certain ones that seem sane and are not up for reelection - is there an easy way to identify which ones those are? Collins, McCain, ). I thought I'd try to appeal to them to flip to independent and caucus with the Dems. I figured it wouldn't hurt. I'm in a blue state (DE) and all my reps are Dem. While I can write to my reps to keep them on their toes or thank them, they tend to vote mostly the way that I would want them to and are pretty good at keeping in touch with their constituents.

Afraid to run afoul of Rump and Bannon in DC. Afraid to face their own constituents back in their districts. Afraid to vote. Afraid to NOT vote. Afraid of the media. Afraid of their contributors. No place to run, no place to hide, and even their nightmare-ridden dreams offer no comfort.

I revel in their discomfort.
