Appreciation Thread for Washington Post, NYT, and even CNN lately

Speaking truth against the power. In my opinion, these three "old school" media outlets have been doing a tremendous job for our Republic, exposing TREASON.

Since Repubs won't investigate, and if they do, it's a sham... Repubs investigating themselves to CYA...press is doing all of the investigation, w some fortunate leaks from intelligence. Most Repubs only want to investigate to stop leakers.

the problem being that few if any of the television media and their talking heads and bloviators picked any of it up for broadcast and discussion. And unfortunately, not that many people read the newspapers (whether hardcopy or electronic) anymore. They turn on the tv or radio.

Now that the lazy tv media are using this material to help them fill their 24/7 programming (and it is apparently providing ratings), the rest of the masses are hearing about it.

But they've failed to do their jobs so often and in so many cowardly ways that they have a very long way to go before they deserve "appreciation". They are still more concerned with "access" and getting invited to all the best Washington parties than they are with the hard work of real journalism that doesn't make them friends among the people they cover.
