In the eyes of white nationalists, Trump will preserve white identity

“President Trump is off to an amazing start, God bless him for it!” former Klansman David Duke wrote in one tweet on Jan. 25. “We simply want our own country and our own society. That's in no way exploitative. We want our own society, our own nation,” he wrote in another that day. 

So KKK member David Duke only wants "our own nation". But the nation he wants committed genocide to cleanse the country of the First Peoples, and his nation was built by black slave labor. The country was built on exploitation.

The praise for the administration’s actions also demonstrates how Trump’s campaign rhetoric energized white nationalist thinkers who have waited decades for a moment of political legitimacy, and throws doubt on the president’s disavowal of the radical right.

While much of Trump's rhetoric is merely slogans to appease his deplorably deceived racists, Trump is a racist.

1. I'm surprised there is no organized movement to increase the white birth rate.

Of course, there could be such a thing, and I wouldn't know about it.

There are two reasons Americans of European descent are going to fall out of the majority in a couple years. The first is immigration, of course, and people like Duke and his acolytes are happy about the Muslim ban and the wall because it could mean fewer non-European immigrants.

The other thing is birth rate. White Americans tend to have fewer children than people in other demographic groups. I am a little surprised nobody has come up with a campaign that encourages more white families, particularly in the south, to have more kids. If I were somebody like David Duke, I would be all over that, maybe even have my vasectomy reversed and get busy myself.

2. Quiverfull, look it up

Yes, there is a movement to procreate for just that purpose.

3. I heard about them, but they seem to be aimed at Christian procreation.

Don't see many black faces, though, so the racial component could be assumed.

4. As BBG already noted, the Quiverfull movement is a Christian group that

promotes raising a large family to provide soldiers for God.

But the GOP has tactics, including vote suppression and other frauds, to compensate for the falling birthrate. Plus incarceration is another tool in the box. Felons often lose voting rights.

5. I wasn't thinking so much about elections.

That is important to them, of course, but I was thinking about their extreme discomfort at the idea that white people are outnumbered by non-white people. This means social changes that will upset them bigly.

6. Agreed. Incarcerating more non-whites is the solution.

Plus it provides prison guard jobs for (mainly) rural white people.
