Dress shops on both coasts almost sold out of ball gowns!

This clown (Tom Barrack, Chairman of Trump's Presidential Inauguration Committee) was on CNN
claiming dress shops on both coasts are almost sold out of ball gowns because people are flocking to Trump's inaugural.
(didn't Trump say CNN is 'fake news'?)

I'm guessing there must be thousands of 'dress shops' on both coasts. And they're all 'almost sold out'?

Also says Trump's inaugural parade will be cut from the average of three hours to just over one hour
"Because Trump is in a hurry to get to work".

Or is it no one wants to participate?

it was the WORST month for sales they've ever seen in an inaugural year.

http://www.vanityfair.com/style/2017/01/donald-trump-inauguration-dress-shops

One boutique owner, Peter Marx of Saks Jandel in Chevy Chase, went even further, telling People, “There’s never been less demand for inaugural ballgowns in my 38 years.”

Even the Springsteen tribute band pulled out!~!!!

http://consequenceofsound.net/2017/01/bruce-springsteen-tribute-band-pulls-out-of-trump-inauguration-ball/

The B Street Band, self-described as America’s No. 1 Bruce Springsteen tribute band, were booked to play the Garden State Inaugural Gala, a pre-inauguration ball taking place in Washington, DC in the days leading up to Donald Trump’s swearing in. Given Springsteen’s strong liberal convictions, many — including members and associates of The E Street Band — questioned The B Street Band’s decision to appear at the ball. For its part, the tribute band argued that the event was non-partisan and its appearance was booked well before Trump’s election. Nonetheless, the Garden State Inaugural Gala is officially described as a celebration of Trump’s presidency, boasts New Jersey governor Chris Christie as an honorary chair, and Trump himself has formally been invited to attend.

Now, The B Street Band has announced its withdrawn from the event, writing in a statement, “Our decision is based SOLELY on the respect and gratitude we have for Bruce and the E Street Band.”

Read their full statement below. Looks like DJ Freedom may have to pull double duty this week.....

...that we're all getting focused on the truth of this statement. The rural white voter in PA, OH, MI, or WI...you know, the guys that decided they've had enough of this political correctness that most everyone else in the country call progress...yeah, those racists asshats.

They're all sitting at home believing that this will be the most attended gala event in history. It's easy for them to believe that women nationwide are chomping at the bit to for the change to have Trump grab at their bits.

And they believe it because the media belongs to that black guy we finally kicked out of the WHITE House so all we can believe is whatever our fearless leader tells us.

Just about 100 hours till the insanity begins.

I think most of us call "political correctness" decency, respect, empathy and just basic human kindness.

Those are of course, progressive values. Being "politically correct" simply means following the Golden Rule

Unfortunately, there's still a large portion of the population that sees decency, respect, empathy and basic human kindness as reserved for members of their own tribe - for lack a better word. I choose it as a word that typically describes a group of individuals more committed to their own welfare and success than the of the broader community outside their group.

Thanks for the build on political correctness. We aren't doing those things because of politics - we're doing them because of our humanity.

Upon investigation the Washington Post discovered the shop has been running a "Going Out of Business" sale for several months.
Trump had nothing to do with it, except lying about it.

Ball gowns are not worn by 99 percent of those attending the swearing in ceremony and/or watching the parade.

Given the limited number of balls, I would say that there is less demand for ball gowns in the DC area for this inauguration than there is for a typical weekend during high school "prom" season.

Because it would seem like tux shops would see a reduction in their inventory as well. But no one is talking about that...the ball gown inventory numbers are rigged, so unfair. Sad.
